seriously, even you couldn't come up with a reason for the "fixes" listed in the patch note to be this big.

there is something wrong for this game that bug fixes needs this big download.

I have no idea what the reason is, but I do know that this forum has become an absolute cesspool. Is there literally nothing people won't complain about?

There are too many noserings on NPCS that look like the NPC needs to excuse themselfe and go blow their nose.

Is that what you had in mind?

I play on a 20Mbps connection myself (cuz i live in canada and ISP's here are ***), but I tried a couple years ago on dialup way-way-way in the sticks at a relatives summer cabin, and the latency was 280ms, and playing an mmo was possible, but horrible beyond explanation.

OMG. Been downloading for over an hour and was at 23 % when a lovely box popped up saying a process was in use by another program. NOTHING is up on my desktop right now except for the launcher. So now I had to run the repair and START ALL OVER!!!!!!

I'm fairly irritated.

So my progress on the download got wiped out and I had to start over. Best part is is my speed is fluctuating all over the place now and my progress is barely moving.

At this rate hopefully it will be done in a few days. Zenimax patches are a mess

The server was down for 8-9 hours which is about how long it will take me to download the patch. I'd have no complaint if I could have been downloading the patch during that time.

So this is fricken awesome. I can't download now. This is happening every time.

I have no other programs open except the launcher which is doing the patch.

FYI, youdased...the download just became available just now after they said the servers was back up.

Hence the when its available portion of above quote. Its usually about 12pm-1pm when the patch is done, so by 5pm-6pm EST it will be downloaded and installed for you to get home from work if you are in business hours, but thats another thread entirely.

This patch is quite big... 4GB download then another 4.9GB download... I'm supposed to have a 6.2 mbps download speed but the patch won't download faster than 720kbps. I'm only halfway through and it's been 3 hours

Yeah, mine's at 15% after an hour and a half for 24 gigs!!! Unreal. I just can't even.

This worked for me, I had to go in and do a repair, its in the game options dropdown. Took maybe 10 minutes, but after that, patched up fine.

Just for once I'd love to see an MMO that actually puts up new LOWER level stuff to give players a reason to start a second (or fifth) character.

Even though I have a 54mb connection, with all the tablets, iphones, laptops, etc.

I get closer to 2mb - 10mb, just depends on the time of day.

Holidays, I dont even try to get on a computer lol...

Can't speak for everybody else, but I usually turn my computer off when I'm done for the night then turn it back on when I get home from work. Though I guess on patch day I can try to remember to just leave it on with the launcher running.

Seems like I might be somewhat lucky as I have cable modem and I am getting steady 980 kb/s sometimes jumping up to just over 1MB/s though this patch must be truly epic because it is taking just slightly less than forever it seems...

Just had to uninstall 2 other games to make way for this update. Not everybody has a terabyte+ hard drive. Guess it's time to buy a new HD just to play ESO. LOL
