Do you feel like a betatester in ESO?

I mean, for many people, the game stills being in beta. I agree because many of the bugs and problems the game had in beta times, continue existing.

So, do you feel you still betatesting the game? With the difference that now you pay for it?

You are correct. The PC version of ESO is nothing more than a Box Sales and Subscription to beta test the Console release. The fact that the Console release was canned for at LEAST a half a year just a month after ESO PC launched proves the point.

If Z/B had any integrity at all, they would have suspended the PC subscription charges until the game was finished enough for Console release.

    But, they have zero integrity.
    None at all.

Thats what I feel more or less. Many people will say Im trolling, but I am not. I'm just saying what I think. When you talk with many people ingame, they say the same. Even some people wanting to like this game and to be successful like me, thinks they are being betatesters.

No. To imply I am beta testing implies I think the game will get better the more I report stuff. So far, that has not been the case.

I beta tested the game for over a year. Sadly ZOS doubled down on the systems that I personally do not like.

The game is lacking in many user friendly tools like guild bank permissions.

Now that I think about what you say...its terrible. I completely agree with you. Its true, at least if you are in beta, means they will listen and the game will get better. What happens here is that the same bugs continue existing.

Nope. Thank you so much for asking.

Ironically, I've played games that felt like I was a beta tester - and I mean a real beta tester, not "this game isn't playing the way I want." But really not had that experience here.

Pretty much. It's fun but this was so far from release quality it's not funny. And no - i'm not interested in being told anything about the abysmal quality standards prevalent in MMO's and why I should accept them. Neither do I care one iota what condition WoW released in sometime back in the Dark Ages.

Whats wrong with this topic? Why are you answering then?

Seems you didn't betatest enough in beta period. Theres a HUGE list of bugs that continue existing and a LOT of improvements that many people asked for that are just being ignored.

Yes, WoW had problems when it released. But NOTHING like the issues ESO is showing. And, WoW was literally 4 times the size (or more) of ESO when it released. WoW was the highest quality game to hit the planet back in 2004; it cleaned EQ2's clock and then some.

The big difference between WoW and ESO? Pre-Launch testing. They spent years in Beta Test for WoW. And the results showed, and they got the pay off.

And let's not forget, Blizzard were newbs at MMOs at the time. And, they only had a few AAA MMOs to look to for guidance.

Beta tests are just for show it seems. No matter what is reported or commented on the only things that get fixed or ironed out are what the devs think matters.

Advice be damned! This is why bugs that are reported in the beta are still broken at launch. They can't be bothered when they are shoving the game out too fast.

I was in beta the entire process and can say the game has drastically improved to the point that I don't feel like a beta tester, I feel like a TES player lol. I've never once expected an elder scrolls game to not have a ton of bugs, it's almost what makes an elder scrolls game an elder scrolls game lol. Now, some of these bugs are frustrating, but it's an mmo and takes time. Some people who are new to MMO's or haven't seen the start of one take this for granted and think Zos is a new and unusual case. It's not. WoW had so many bugs that entire first year it was unbelievable. You think Sorcs one shotting you in pvp is bad? I reemmber getting two shot by naked rogues, because they had base damage rather than high scaling.

Regardless, this isn't too unusual for a brand new mmo. I do wish they would communicate more with us, but that seems like a lack of staff memebers issues, as the only one I normally see post is Jessica. Either way, I knew when starting the game it was going to be a rough start, but I accepted that knowing it would still be enjoyable.

In fact, ESO beta testing was a complete show. In every aspect.

No, I really do not. I encountered several problems during Beta, which was expected. I have not suffered anything significant after the roll out's bank bug. I do think people's expectations are maybe higher or lower depending on how you look at it. As example, I played the oblivion out of Skyrim and I am not sure that Skyrim's stability issues have ever been addressed fully. Still, great game, but frustrating to play when you have to save every few steps to ensure you don't lose progress. ESO has been very stable and though not without problems, I hardly feel it is still in Beta.

They do not necessarily listen. When it comes to features gamers ask for or suggest need to be improved upon, rarely will you see changes made. Warhammer and SWtoR come to mind as examples of this type of ignoring the testers. ESO of course fell into that category.

Humm, it would appear that you have little experience in MMO's if you feel like a beta tester at this point in time. Here is a game that offers more content, a greater battlefield for PVP and dungeons galore. It provides this in a fairly seamless manner, with little if any lag issues that plague games that have been out much longer than ESO. How many games are out there right now that can simultaneously have over 1500 players in a battlefield at the same time? Only one that I know of ESO. Certainly there are going to be bugs! You can beta and alpha test with a million people and bugs will still occur. It is the nature of programming a game on such a large scale. For those who believe the developers are new to MMO's, please consider the Developer pool is not as large as you imagine. Developers move from house to house when the project is done on a frequent basis. The developers of ESO have had a lot of experience developing online games, if you doubt this please do a little research on the developer team! Many have been designing and producing games since well before Everquest, and that's a long time!
Will bugs develop in future updates, yes it will happen. WoW took over a year to reach a point were there minimal bugs, I know I was there from the release. Will there be adjustments to skills and characters, yes! The developers will continue to try and make all the classes as equal on the field as they can. This comes from the game experiences and feedback of millions of players. You cannot beta or alpha test that, as much as you would like.
So, sit back, take a deep breath, log in when the servers come back up and enjoy the best MMO on the market today or in the near future!

defiantly feel we are still in beta after the last patch i was not even able to log into the game for three days do to a bug on there end and got no refund for that time.the game feels very unbalanced when it comes to classes/skills. vet content for some classes is about imposable to solo and there is not enough players these days to even run a group quest or dungeon in vet zones.

Depends what you mean by "this way"

I don't know a AAA MMO that launched without guild permissions for the bank, underwater swimming, a law system, dueling, personal banks, a functional AH(except really old MMOs) (even the guild stores interface is horrid), and many other user friendly tools that are missing.

Also, I have never seen so many design choices done so badly in one game. Especially in the end game.
