While I'm a PC player of the game I still don't understand why the $20 only applies to PC owners who purchase the PC game by June 30th. If your PC runs the game great why would you even consider buying the console game too?
The offer should have been to get the basic game on console for $20 to anyone who placed a console pre-order on or by June 30th.
For PC players who may try it out on the console the game should be 100% free but a $20 offer is also acceptable.
The character port is silly as I'm pretty sure it's a one way, one time offer. You can't send that character back so why not just copy the entire account? Not move, copy
I continue to ask players who is going to the console game and it seems like less than three people and I've been playing and asking since April. I'm sure that's just my experience as there are hopefully hundreds of thousands of players who plan to port at least one character over.
To me, It would make better sense if the game were free for PC customers (why are we encouraged to spend another $20 and after month one $20-$30/month to play PC and console.) This is a bit confusing as the companies position was to have two subscriptions if an owner chose to play on PC and console.
The direction of this is just getting more and more weird.
The final straw would be if the games don't run on the equivalent of all high settings at 1080p and at least 30-40 fps.
My almost 5 year old ASUS G72 runs it in 900p on high/ultra at 45 to 59 fps most of the time dropping to 20-25 fps in PvP.
Anyone care to share business logic on this. ?
