Should Zenimax add full armor previews when crafting.

    Yeah, having to guess what it will look like is terrible. Dyeing will at least relieve some of Dro'Zannar's lack of fashion sense. Green pauldrons and white pants? This one is most ashamed.

    I wish the crafting book had pictures of the armor also, like diagrams for immersion.

    I couldn't believe all we have to go by is a minuscule picture. It's quite annoying to have to craft them and try them on to see what they actually look like.

    What would be equally helpful is something in the names beyond "homespun shoes" to indicate which style it is - the Argonian things have unique names, why not the rest?

    Indeed. A preview is an absolute must in any game of this genre. I was shocked to see it was not already in the basics of the game. Hopefully ZOS will pay attention to us.
    And I can't wait for the dye's! I was stoked when I heard of it, it's all in the details. This will aid in immersion and my fellow RPers will LOVE IT!

    I can't think of any non-troll reason anyone would vote no on this. There should be previews when crafting (so you know whether you want to use the mats to craft it), upgrading (so you know whether you want to use the mats to upgrade it), and before equipping (so you know whether you want to wear that bind-on-equip item).

    Because Zenimax made no mention of it in the road ahead feature..

    As far as we know there are no plans at all for this.

    TO modify my answer slightly: OMFG YES!!!!!!! I don't understand why there isn't better preview of it already and that is DEFINITELY needed in this game. You can't expect people to go look for preview in esofashion.com or whatever just to know if something you're planning to craft looks hidious (like barbaric omg) or not. Now it's just a roll of a dice whether you have to use one of the disguises/costumes not to look like an idiot and whether you have totally wasted precious improvement mats.

    I think SWTOR had this made nicely, you could see what the gear looked on YOUR character and you could turn it around in the preview window.

    Please. PLEASE, add preview. please.

    Even if it doesn't show the armor item in all it's colorful glory it sure would be nice to have a better preview of what the White item will REALLY look like when crafted vs what it kinda sorta looks like from that tiny thumbnail image they have now.

    Because you can view it.

    I rather Zenimax focus on other things then showing what you already can see...
    Is there anything you guys do in the game that an addon/google/guide havent showed you first?

    You can create one you know, and look all you want.

    @david271749

    Sorry if I wasn't clear on that, but I've been told I'm not allowed to express any opinion on these forums because I dont whine/rant.

    Heh, thanks. unexpected! =)

    I try to post less, because I rather discuss with people who are playing the game. Even those who have a lot of complaints, but still actually enjoy it.

    I tend to make a short point, into a big novel.

    @Mablung
    Is trying to teach me what I am can say and how many letters I am allowed to use. Lately I have been very busy enjoying Vet levels. Which almost is a new game. 1 mob is almost as cool encounter as 1 boss in a public dungeon. (Way to easy, but Zenimax exellent anti farming mechanics takes care of that)

    My answer was not just towards if you can get a bigger picture of your pre crafted items. Of course you can ask for that. Nothing game breaking about that. I just think there are other thing Zenimax should look at first.

    Between addons, guides, calculated builds, demands for features which Zenimax already stated not going to happen, complaining about lack of groups because of a group tool, or complaints that zones are empty, because a player have not even bothered to check?

    Is there anything, a MMO player does themselves? In ESO, yeah, A LOT.
    At least those who plays it and enjoy it to much to even be aware of the on paper, great looking patch 1.2.

    it wouldnt be a thread unless cogo visits to say "everythings fine" the zos guys make every decision perfect ... its us customers who are continually wrong to criticise any aspect of thier flawless creation.

    The irony is with every time he pops up to defend everything it sort of cheapens his arguements for all his other points.. If he was to pick his battles instead of blindly argueing in defence of everything he might seem worth listening to.

    this from cogo in the thread about posting on these forums first

    Quote @cogo
    If you still do not understand, then do the math. If 100 people on this site say A about ESO, and 10 000 from another valid source says B about ESO, which they can see reflects in their current player base. A business must adapt, or loose costumers.

    so by cogo's own admission lets say a poll had 98% wanting a feature then the company should adopt it yet he comes to this poll to nay-say it like the loyal fanboy he is

    This one noticed, that there are sites out there, that DO show you how it looks, if you care about it a lot, then you should go that route. They all work in progress, but will be complete eventually.

    On the other hand, while only a small picture, the item's looks are displayed on the stat preview pane in the top-middle on the box, above the name. Look, if you change styles or levels, it changes as-well.

    I would love to see a SWTOR-like preview system implemented. Crafting and getting your crafting up takes so much time already in this game, anything that can streamline some aspect of it would be wonderful. If I know I won't like the looks of something I can choose not to craft it and save those mats for something I WILL like. HUZZAH! Yes, please, ESO, do this!
