Good or bad to have a vet (or two) in NORMAL group dungeon

Since vet will not get any experience from killing the mobs, he/she will mainly get skill points, but is his/her presence significantly impact other non-vet players? If so, how much?

Thanks

It does take a lot of the challenge out of it. Whether that's a good or bad thing is for you to decide.

Depends on why youre in there. Skill points and quest, not the challenge? Go for it.

I only did them for the quests... Id have killed to have a vet wipe the floor with it for me.

In instanced dungeons the mobs give 1-3exp each normally, so it makes little difference, the instance gives almost no exp, but the quest gets lots

    another question.

How does game decide if an instance is normal or vet mode?

My main is from DC, I went to Wayrest Sewer with another vet, so two vet finished the dungeon and it doesn't seem to be in vet mode?

The group leader selects the dungeon mode from the group panel.

In the Group members screen the leader has the option to choose difficulty. It is located top center of screen.

I like it this way. Makes for a nice RP run, and hacking and slashing a large normal group is quite a therapeutic power-trip after a long day of questing in VR-land.

And of course, it's up to the others to consent to having a VR in their group.

Of course, I've heard they are going to make it so that dungeons auto-level up to the highest player. So that won't be possible down the line.

Good question, I've been running some low level dungs for the skill point, lore book and achievement.
I've thought about asking some low level guldies if they want to come along for the ride but don't know if this is a good idea, will my ability to solo everything or the other players getting in my way or slowing me down just be annoying.
I guess the RP aspect could be fun to just enjoy the stories and not worry about dying, ect.

I did all the low level dungeons recently and always called out in local if any noobs wanted to run it. They told me the mob xp sucked, but the quest xp is where it's at. I say take them along if they want to.

I read it would scale to the party leader, so if the leader is low level, it would scale to low level.

I myself love the challenge, and hate to see someone in a dungeon group, who is over leveled. but that's just me

I dont do dungeons for challenge. I do them for the quest or just wanting to beat down loot pinatas.

If I want actual challenge I look for raids and/ or single player games.
