Is anyone else having trouble earning gold?

If the horse is really important to you, and you have a bit of extra cash to spare, the Imperial Edition might be worth it for you. Ever since I got my Imperial horse, I've rarely even given a thought to gold—except for my occasional surprise when I found I had amassed quite a bit of it in the course of regular (and fun) gameplay.

easiest way to get money from LvL1 up

get EVERY resource (wood, fiber, ore, plants) ... or enchantment only take the red/orange aspect ones

refine wood, fiber, ore and sell the upgrade mats (sell ores to npc)
sell plants (each one goes for about 50G )

    be rich

I had gold out the wazoo until I started crafting (I had 60k at level 40 with no crafting skills). Vendored everything, only spent gold on feeding the horse (I have the imperial edition horse) and maybe 2 pack upgrades and no bank upgrades.

Then I finally got into crafting and all the unused gear I had been vendoring is now used for decon and research. To try to offset that income loss, I only level WW/BS/Clothing on my main and my alts vendor everything and put the gold in the bank (which I have since upgraded with alt gold).

Of course, I also dont sell anything in trade or guild, so that would probably be a nice supplement if you're up for it.

I am not rich, but I am also a casual player. I doubt I get 10 hours a week for play time and my bank account sees it. But at this point, I have a fully upgraded mount, over 100 slots available on me and the bank, and I still have about 6k laying around not doing a thing.

Here is how I would recommend somebody who wants to get rich in this game do it.

    1. Horse for travel is pointless for a crafter. There are so many resources in game that I stop and pick them when I see them. This means I spend more time on foot than I do on a mount. If you are going to buy one and it isn't for PVP purposes, you should invest in a traditional mule mount early and save the expensive bank and inventory upgrades for later.

    2. Resources can be your friend. Gather them and refine them. Sell any components you get out of the deal. And if nobody wants the refined resources, you can always vendor sell a stack of it for 400 gold.

    3. Craft the items you use. Screw the repairs. It is just a money sink. Chances are early on you will outlevel gear before it wears out anyway. But instead of upgrading gear level or repairing it, stick to replacing it with crafted "white" gear.

    4. Provisioning is your friend. Just vendor selling the items you make can make you 300 - 600 gold every 15 mins or so just going through town opening items. This may seem like chump change, but it adds up as long as you stay focused and continue to do it.

    5. Some alchemy items are worth quite a bit. It is not uncommon to see people asking for alchemy ingridients. Columbine, Bugloss, Mountain Flower are all very common ingredients but are used in the mega health, magic, and stamina regen pots. I have seen these go for 100 gold a piece.

    6. Join a large guild. Push your resources and loot with traits on their AH. You may find that you are someone who aquires a rare trait that everybody and their brother wants. Check the forums. It is not hard to figure out which items and traits these are. An item worth 24 gold in game, may be worth 500 gold to a player.

Gold wouldn't be a problem if we had an auction house to sell our loot in. I have 4 or 5 complete armor sets that would probably sell quick at auction but it's too much hassle to sell them via chat.

be sure they would not sell in a AH because 1000 other players would sell them too = no profit

    example:

sell 1 flower at the most frequent spot = 20G
sell 1 flower at a spot where people level at the right time = 100G

500% done just by picking the right time and spot to sell

if you had a AH that would not be possible

I think its wayyyyyy too easy to get gold in ESO. I remember in other mmo's where I was saving for months to buy the best armor and mounts. Here I just have a *** ton of money and nothing to do with it

    Give it to me, I'm a broke V12 with only 30k .
I only have 6k but I just did my 30th respec.

Haven't had much problem with gold. Have 3 active alts, each with 80+ bag slots and a horse to feed, which I do daily, and 100 account bank slots and still have 30k saved up.

Haven't done much with guild store as I disassemble all gear that can be and sell off everything else. Questing is fairly lucrative, too. Every time I have to sell off to make bag space it's another 1k or more gold to bank, after expenses.

Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

    Not really ...

I sell all white loot (unless the item has a trait i want to research) and deconstruct anything green or better.

I keep a few stacks of refined mats for crafting and any additional stacks are sold for even more gold.

I only upgraded my backpack to 80 slots and use the rest on feeding my 1g horse, the additional horse bag slots are much more economical.

Get the teleporter mod. It allows you to port to any friend or guild member. You select the zone you want to port to and it gives you a list of people in that zone that you can port to for free from anywhere.

    *snip*

You don't need this addon. That functionality is in the game already. Open your friends list or guild roster and right click on someone in a zone of your choice.

Keep in mind they will have to be your same faction.
If they're in VR zones, you have to be VR to get there. Craglorn included.

With the addon, you should only be seeing the members that you can teleport to, and not the entire guild roster, right?

I like to port to Dalmora in Bal Foyan for my banking/selling/crafting because it is the best place for that. So I bring up my map anywhere and the teleporter mod has a search box. I type Bal and it gives me a list with the few people in that zone from my guild and friends lists. I click beside 1 persons name and I get ported for free to the shrine closest to that player.

It saves me the trouble of searching all my lists for the 2 or 3 people likely to be in that zone. There are 3 shrines in that zone but I usually get ported to the one in Dhalmora. If I don't I just click on the shrine I end up at and a quick load screen later I am at Dhalmora.

Another tip. Find a place similar to Dhalmora in your faction that will allow you to dump the junk you collected fast and begin adventuring again. Don't just go to whatever trading center exists in the zone you are currently in.

When your bags are full you have to run to bank or trader to make room before you can decon anything and then you have to run back to trader or bank to unload all the decon materials. If all these are spaced apart with load screens in between it can take a long time. Dhalmora in Ebonheart pact is a large tent close to a wayshrine that contains all crafting tables and a banker. The only thing it lacks is a stable and a cookfire which is in the hut next door.
