I love when this argument comes up, because it's always ridiculous.
Yes, there is magic in the Elder Scrolls universe. Well spotted. And yes, it's a fantasy world. However, the series has always maintained a more realistic feel/aesthetic compared to other fantasy games. The world of Tamriel has a ruleset that happens to include the regular use of magic. It has not, to date, included a spell to "unfeed" something or someone.Adramelach wrote: »Good thing the rest of the game sticks as close to real life as possible, though the spells I actually use on a day-to-day basis to defeat demons and necromancers in my neighborhood aren't exactly the same as my sorcerer in ESO, but close enough that I can overlook that particular unrealistic detail.
Also, there are things so ridiculously stupid that they are not even believable in a fantasy universe.
Unfeeding horses is one of them.

Yes, it's "ridiculously stupid" that they don't let you unfeed a horse. Because we all know that in real life, you just whisper in its ear about how pretty it looked before it got fat, and the horse just throws that food right back up.
You had three buttons to click. Three. You clicked one without thinking about it. Now you're blaming the designers for that?
Clearly you can't read. The horse I fed was the pack horse, not the speed horse. After I clicked "oats" I went to feed the speed horse and found out it was fed already. Some kind of annoying bug happened.
So, no, person who jumps to attack, I didn't go through 3 clicks and feed the wrong horse. Some bug screwed over my horse and I want a reset.
Then if it was a bug and not just user error, submit a report. Maybe CS can do something about it. That's not justification for adding a completely ludicrous feature to the game.

I just logged on to feed my horses. I have 2 horses. One I use for speed, one for capacity for when I go farming/mining/whatever.
For whatever reason, it showed the wrong name at the top - I fed my capacity horse first and then went to switch to my speed horse. Well, my speed horse was already fed a capacity buff. Arg!!! I've been feeding her speed for 50 days or more now, she's at 65%, level 50.
Is there an undo function somewhere?
If otherwise, there needs to be one!

Sorry you fed the wrong horse, but you can't uneat a meal, especially after it's been digested.

For a level 50 standard horse who has been fed nothing but speed, those numbers are exactly what you would get.
Wow, ok, thank you - and all the above posters who instructed me on this.
Uhm...ok, so I fed Chocolate Speed as often as possible - she is at 65%. She is also at 11% Stamina and 1% capacity. I thought I incorrectly fed her Capacity last time, hence the 1%.
So...are these numbers normal? Is it a bug that she is gaining capacity despite that she is also max speed, according to everyone here?
(and, for the record, we should be able to respec our magical horses)

Well the Kids on Southpark figured out how to uneat why can't we ... kidding of course

Unfeeding horses is one of them.
So you're saying is a transdimensional horse who relocates to your backpack the moment you touch deep water - or enter combat - cannot be realistically unfed?
For a level 50 standard horse who has been fed nothing but speed, those numbers are exactly what you would get.

What's ridiculous is the reason you're putting forward against it while having to accept the other case is a lost cause so you won't try to argue it.nerevarine1138 wrote: »We can respec our skills and attributes. I also disagree with allowing skill respecs, but I understand that I'm in the minority there.
However, when we gain skills, we aren't eating food. The notion of "respeccing" a horse by systematically starving them and then forcing them to binge eat one specific thing is ridiculous.

One level 48-50 feeding or so buffs all stats once, instead of only the selected one. So with +50 you are at top level: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/110830/horses-stats-buggedI just logged on to feed my horses. I have 2 horses. You absolutely defined the issue here.

No he didn't. You don't unlearn any skills in the game, you just re-adjust your points to identify what skills you have access to. If you decide later to put points back in those skills, your progression is right back to where it was. You don't have to start over.
If I don't own a bicycle, does that mean I no longer have the skill to ride a bike? No. When I own a bike again (put points back into it in the ESO model), then I can pick up right where I left off. Same in ESO.
All Zen is telling you is that you can't focus on many things at once. Same in real life. People who say they know about a lot of things rarely know much about anything. Breadth vs. depth. I think Zen has done a reasonably good job of translating that "realistic" principle into a game mechanic.

Let me just respec and ta-da the 50 levels of provisioning and greatswords have now been unlearned as if they didn't exist. Your argument is pointless once again as respeccing is "unfeeding" someone.

Uh...so I just re-adjust my horses points, using the same logic you just posted.
Cheers for that.

And as mentioned earlier, I wish they didn't have that respec option. I don't know why people are so allergic to having their choices matter.
