How bout them EP tears now AD???

Cry cry cry as we roll over you.

Took you guys long enough.. Glad to see the other EP's jumped ship on their losing camps to join Wabba and try to save face with a 1st place win out of how many campaigns? *claps* And to think AD was trying to be nice to EP and not own the whole map to turn it into another AB. Meh.. Too bad DC had to put their tail between their legs and run off..

Dcincali you have no idea what you're talking about. Vokundein had been on Wabbajack before it was cool. You mad brah? Congrats to all EP who contributed to the only campaign win that means anything. Too bad all of EP had to exploit using AOEs!

Been there from day 1 and sorry, never heard of you... You mad cuase you're a no namer?

I tried out impulse in pvp a month ago and it hits like splashing someone with warm water, with the added fun that you have to get close to use it. Sure if you encounter an organized group who are all using it you will die if they get close enough...but who stands there and lets the zerg run over them and expects to live? If they weren't killing you with impulse it would be something else...and they would do it from range.

Actually having some situational awareness and getting out of the way of the train takes way to much effort. The WoW generation of gamers want it easier. Maybe the add that tells them to move out of that ring of acid could scream 'Yo moron, how about you pan your camera. Death imminent in 3...2..'

Pro Tip: Form a group of 4 and hang out with the zerg. Now you can claim you only run with 4. I'm l33t

'I've never died in AvA. Undefeated!'
'My group of 4 will often take on 100+ with no problem. I have videos to prove it'

Ebonheart Pact Groups are currently the ones utilizing this exploit in Wabbajack NA server.

The exploit is pretty much self explanatory: raid groups consisting of 20 or more players use Impulse (Destruction Staff Ability) and that's all they use. They spam it while running and can completely wipe a large group of forces in 1.5 - 2 seconds. No joke. They have pretty much utlized this exploit and taken almost every keep/castle/fort and have taken just about every scroll by using impulse. Everyone uses this ability and can wipe raids easily without breaking a sweat. Spam 1 button, win game.

This is a major exploit needing fixed ASAP.

How is this an exploit? They are using an ability as designed in a large group and people die. They are not going beyond the boundaries of the programming.

The best part is that I think I know what group/guild they're talking about and the OP has absolutely no clue how many working parts are put together for that squad to run as it does and do what it does.

OTOH, standing there getting run over by a pain train's pretty easy to do.

No, thats not even close to correct, please stop spreading misinfo to bolster your false statements.

Total development costs excluding equipment leases was about $2.5 million.

That was from 1999-2001. That was pre-WoW also which raised the bar and if you think you can make CU with $2.5 million, I have some nice oceanfront property in Kansas to sell you.

Not even close to correct? Lets see...He said DAOC costed 2 Million Dollars to make

You say it costed 2.5 Million to make (To Make doesn't include equipment leases)

Seems pretty damn close to me.

Its not an exploit, just *** gameplay mechanics that limit only 6 of them to be hit at anytime by an PBAE/AOE themselves

In DAOC for example, if they stacked up like that..Yes they could hit multiple groups of people easily and kill them..But they could also be hit just as easily and killed as well...In this game, Any group they out number, They automatically have an advantage on based entirely off the AoE cap...

fight fire with fire? You have access to 20 ppl..you have access to destro staffs..I would love to watch PvP slip into the absurd.

No variety kills the game, therefore, this isn't an acceptable answer to the problem.

daoc had trouble finding an acceptable host for the servers, and spent a considerable amount of money on just getting the game online, that shouldnt technically be considered part of development imo

LOL at the rager hating on CU. Simple solution. Don't play it when it releases. We all know once it does you will be over there so stop pretending.

Also LOL at AD saying all the bangwagoners came over when that is exactly what they did as well, just in a much more non-factor way.

And Dcincali, I don't think anyone knows your name either. It's called bad Game Mechanics.

You can't insult someone when you need to hover over people to see their names and if they are in a group it's virtually impossible unless you tabbing through.

Feel free to chest beat regarding the 30 day campaign however we will enjoy "exploiting" impulse over your faction whichever that may be.

Every ability has some way of being countered, and people that constantly get stomped by something because they don't know how to counter it do nothing but whine and complain and ask for nerfs. There is balancing skills, and then there is ruining the game by whiners.

Without impulse spam, yes, our group can stand up to an incoming zerg and when it hits us we survive and wipe them over half the time.
Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

If you see this coming, you have to learn to bust them. Oil Pots to slow them down, Meatbags and fire ballista, they will start to drop like flies, then you worry not about impulse or whatever.

What about reflecting some of that damage? Defensive stance or what not. Give it right back!

Sad because it got nerfed. (I am not a vamp btw)
and true because it was easy to counter.

It was not easy to counter. Or there would not have been zergs of 40+ people just pounding their faces on a single DK.

The easiest counter was not to do that. Spread out and bats heal less health.

It was very easy to counter actually. You mentioned zergs of people, let me guess, they just followed the bulk right into the face of the DK vamp?

Thats exactly why they died, they didnt think about how to get away from it.

its a mistake too many players make in this game, they try to GET RIGHT UP IN EVERYONES FACE. (It leads to the same hysterical lunacy of watching 15 people break off of a mass group to chase ONE guy down, desperate for points much?)

Thats the worst place to be vs a dk, vamp or otherwise.

You don't get it. I would watch 40 people beating on a DK vamp. I don't care if they're standing on his freaking toes. 40 people should be the counter to 1, the range shouldn't even come into the equation. The only reason that the zerg even got to move on was that I finally got my negate magic up again.

So distance and positioning shouldn't be part of PvP?

    Huh.

    Re: Impulse spam
I really wish that the AoE cap were removed to promote better combat.

    But so it goes.

As someone who used to be a Vamp DK pre-nerf, I will flat out say:

Bat swarmers were OP as hell. There's no defense for them. Yes, you could kill them, but it involved treating them like a raid boss. No single player should be that hard to bring down.

It's not an exploit unless someone is multiboxing...

However, it is lame and turns ESO into the GW2-esque zergfarm. I don't want pvp to be 'who can get a bigger zerg inside a small space'.

One clever sorc with the right Ultimate loaded can slow these groups down. Three or four clever sorcs can stop them completely. Negate/Suppress Magic is the counter.

People need to stop loading Soul Assault, which helps you beat bad players, and load up on Ultimates that help you beat *good* ones, including organized groups.

Once again: you can breakout of negate.
It also has an aoe cap.

stop praising it as the god given solution to everything, all it does is might confuse pugs a bit and buy you a bit of time. Against a fireball zerg it does very little.

I think its a bit lame, but idk if I would call it an exploit. using a bug to reach VR12 in 3 days is exploiting, spamming AOEs is not an exploit, BUT it breaks the fun and spirit of the game, and needs to be looked at. But EP is not the only ones that have done this. EVERY alliance has done this. If you played hopesfire the first 2 months of release, you would have seen how bad the AD was about spamming it:/
