How bout them EP tears now AD???
Cry cry cry as we roll over you.
Took you guys long enough.. Glad to see the other EP's jumped ship on their losing camps to join Wabba and try to save face with a 1st place win out of how many campaigns? *claps* And to think AD was trying to be nice to EP and not own the whole map to turn it into another AB. Meh.. Too bad DC had to put their tail between their legs and run off..
Dcincali you have no idea what you're talking about. Vokundein had been on Wabbajack before it was cool. You mad brah? Congrats to all EP who contributed to the only campaign win that means anything. Too bad all of EP had to exploit using AOEs!
I tried out impulse in pvp a month ago and it hits like splashing someone with warm water, with the added fun that you have to get close to use it. Sure if you encounter an organized group who are all using it you will die if they get close enough...but who stands there and lets the zerg run over them and expects to live? If they weren't killing you with impulse it would be something else...and they would do it from range.
Ebonheart Pact Groups are currently the ones utilizing this exploit in Wabbajack NA server.
The exploit is pretty much self explanatory: raid groups consisting of 20 or more players use Impulse (Destruction Staff Ability) and that's all they use. They spam it while running and can completely wipe a large group of forces in 1.5 - 2 seconds. No joke. They have pretty much utlized this exploit and taken almost every keep/castle/fort and have taken just about every scroll by using impulse. Everyone uses this ability and can wipe raids easily without breaking a sweat. Spam 1 button, win game.
This is a major exploit needing fixed ASAP.

How is this an exploit? They are using an ability as designed in a large group and people die. They are not going beyond the boundaries of the programming.

No, thats not even close to correct, please stop spreading misinfo to bolster your false statements.
Total development costs excluding equipment leases was about $2.5 million.
That was from 1999-2001. That was pre-WoW also which raised the bar and if you think you can make CU with $2.5 million, I have some nice oceanfront property in Kansas to sell you.

so why is every *** player in wabba using impulse than if it was working as intended

The best part is that I think I know what group/guild they're talking about and the OP has absolutely no clue how many working parts are put together for that squad to run as it does and do what it does.
OTOH, standing there getting run over by a pain train's pretty easy to do.

It was not easy to counter. Or there would not have been zergs of 40+ people just pounding their faces on a single DK.

It was very easy to counter actually. You mentioned zergs of people, let me guess, they just followed the bulk right into the face of the DK vamp?
Thats exactly why they died, they didnt think about how to get away from it.
its a mistake too many players make in this game, they try to GET RIGHT UP IN EVERYONES FACE. (It leads to the same hysterical lunacy of watching 15 people break off of a mass group to chase ONE guy down, desperate for points much?)
Thats the worst place to be vs a dk, vamp or otherwise.
You don't get it. I would watch 40 people beating on a DK vamp. I don't care if they're standing on his freaking toes. 40 people should be the counter to 1, the range shouldn't even come into the equation. The only reason that the zerg even got to move on was that I finally got my negate magic up again.
One clever sorc with the right Ultimate loaded can slow these groups down. Three or four clever sorcs can stop them completely. Negate/Suppress Magic is the counter.
People need to stop loading Soul Assault, which helps you beat bad players, and load up on Ultimates that help you beat *good* ones, including organized groups.

It also has an aoe cap.
stop praising it as the god given solution to everything, all it does is might confuse pugs a bit and buy you a bit of time. Against a fireball zerg it does very little.

Negate shuts down enough healing and damage spam to give a window of opportunity to shut the train down.
