Why wont my character die?

Ok, I am having issues when I am killed. My character wont die. The game will freeze the moment right before death. My character will regain all its health, stam and magic, I can run around, but cant access anything because effectively I am dead, but I cannot do anything about it. The mobs reset but I never receive any option to respawn. Eventually I will get kicked from the game with an unknown error, but this only happens at death, not any other time.

Also, I experience no lag what so ever with chat. Even while everything else is frozen, chat is not.

I run no addons.

this is quite common with dragonights and sorcerers build, they simply are overpowered yet zenimax allows it to conitnue for reasons i can only assume and guess upon.

Try a repair on your game files,contact a GM when it happens, Take a screen shot with sent the ticket, log out and back in, delete toon and reroll again (extreme solution).

The GM's are quick to respond now at least in my experience

Did you choose to revive via a soul gem? That is exactly what happens when you revive.

i always call it zombie mode (to myself of course) the game thinks you are dead but you can still walk around but not attack or loot items. also if you relog you appear dead in the spot where you logged out

Its a latency issue that was introduced in the craglorn patch, don't waste your time repairing and going through cs, they are already aware of the issue. There's really nothing you can do but log in and out. Basically you died but the server hiccuped so you still appear alive on your end while the server thinks you're dead, it usually happens when you have a regen or heal going when you die.

Yeah, had a heal going when it happened, every time. And it has been going on since that patch, but I've never had it interfere to the point I could not play. I am now lagging with normal game play since the maintenance period. Cant. do. anything. I hope this all gets fixed, very frustrating.

Same here.

Someone revived me while I was walking around them too, it lasted for a day only, but this bug was a pain the second time I died due to a boss running into a corner and 1 shotting for some reason..

Ok, it seems the problem resolved itself after I completed a certain quest in Reapers March... I only had this issue when attempting it, and now that I finally killed all the mobs without dying I no longer have this issue.

I've been having this same issue since the last patch. Except there was this one time at Ragged Hills Dolmen when I revived, I was fine on my end, but my group saw me as a ghost. I was still able to attack and everything. It was hilarious because they said my attacks appeared to come from my head. I asked one of them to take a screenshot of that.
