"unknown error" making Cyrodiil unplayable

I've been trying to play my campaign all night, but can't stay online longer than 20 minutes or so, and that's when I'm lucky. Other times I get an unknown error after a couple of minutes and when I log back in I'm back where I started. It's taking me 3-5 logins to move between keeps. Is this the marvelous PVP experience of ESO?
