That's an important point I think many don't even realise. When I walk around my current vet zone and only see a couple other guys running around, you get a feel for just how low the population has actually gotten. I don't need to see hard numbers or graphs, I can just jump in game and see the population decline myself.
Amazing how people suddenly forget about complaining about phasing when it doesn't serve their arguments.

Have to agree with you on this, not sure if I like it though

Even if it was, I don't care. I play this game to enjoy myself. I don't care about others playing or not.
I don't know if there's any way to check the population of subscriptions in ESO but every guild I speak to is either losing members or dying, when I go to vet zones they are completely empty, and Cyrodiil population seems to have dropped a lot too?
I'm current playing in Shadowfel for now, and this zone map are really empty, so hard to find people to make group parties in Dolmens, Quests or Mini-Bosses.
ZoS need to fix Vet Content and bring "real" content for it, more players will disappear.
It's really frustrating and boring play VR Zones:
- Hard Difficult, mobs hits really hard.
- Hard XP Curve Line for VET Players (of course, you can go Craglorn and use any kind of exploits or "trials" to make your "fast level experience great LOL).
- No more Skills Lines to complete your game play "as" a Veteran Player, since I totally agree and would like to suggest to bring UNIQUE Skill Lines for Veteran Players (Exclusive to the Classes).
- No more attributes points to make your char better, since mobs has more HP and DMG, but us Veteran have a "head-pain".
- You don't feel like a Veteran but making all again, including (Free the Town from the Rats - WTF? I'm a Veteran who! saved! you! Where's all Trainees?"
- Unbalanced Classes;
- Less Nerfs and more Actions, they need some changes like DK and SORC, but don't need to make them useless, coz soon NB and Templars will be OP and DK and SORC not, so they need to "balance" it, not make "one or other" better.
- Group Finder tool, need to be polish! soon as possible, they need to make automatic join and teleport to the dungeon or anything else, when the queue line has completed (tanker, dps, dps, healer) like many games outsides.
- Well many things but I have hope yet.
The game can be better but for now, it's just an "OK", and means that ZoS needs to pay attention coz "OK" can be bad or good, but for now .. the curve line is descend.

Why did people use those? Because questing in the VR zones is an exercise in utter frustration.
VR zones will kill this game, they're LEVELING content not end-game so if you're unable to progress due to asininely-buffed mobs or simply don't intend to tolerate a 1990s-like grind then you'll have to leave as there's nothing left to do.

Don't think ZOS is listening anymore bro. They don't seem to have their priorities straight. They are spending copious amounts of time fixing quest bugs, and dealing with bots, which they should have done months ago. Isn't that what beta was for? And, after launch, they really didn't notice the bot train in Coldharbor that went on for weeks, bots farming all over the world in broad daylight, and the constant zone chat/e-mail spam?
Anyway, while they are busy doing what should have been done for launch or shortly after, the class balance issues go unresolved, the veteran content is way too slow, arduous, difficult, and unrewarding, and people are slowly leaving the game.
I'm sure when they finally do get around to the important things that need fixing they will have a beautiful, bug free flawless quest line and most if not all of the bots exterminated, but no one will be left around to appreciate it.

I know when I hit Vet content I rolled a couple alts.
I still play my Vet character, but I needed to have some manner of relaxing content to play when I don't want to concentrate so hard on survival.

I have to say this is the only game I have ever played where you get WEAKER as you level up (talking about vet) as compared to enemies

Checking ppl on guilds it's not a valid system to evaluate popolation, with the 5 guild system. I changed 3 guilds in a row in the last week.
born2beagator wrote: »Getting weaker as you level is a terrible idea. Sure you got your build set and leveled, but what eso has is artificial difficulty. Once you get in vet, the only way you actually get stronger is better gear....while the enemies get a buff with each VR level gained. and its not a strategy buff, they just upped HP and Damage to unnecessary levels for solo content

However the trash is just plain awful. Long is not hard, every trash fight being long is just plain drudgery. We call it trash for a reason (not because it has 1 gold) that reason is it the faceless minions, the unwashed masses of sentient thieves and thugs. I am a grand champion hero who has saved 2 factions already why does it take so long to kill a common thug? I recommend reducing the HPs or every non-named mob in all of vet content. Not to make it easier but to speed up the time in between moments where this game really shines.
Server Population:
Anyone who thinks the population of the game have not drastically dropped I am guessing between 75% and 90% is only seeing what they want. At prime play time there was only one instance of Rivenspire Vet8 zone. One instance for the entire mega-server. Friends who would wait for another player to come along on the same step of the quest for help would wait in excess of an hour. It used to be a continuous stream of people in every zone.
The unforgivables:
The stealth changes and lack of communication.
They make changes to a class and we have no idea, we go to run a vet dungeon and our abilities don't work the same way any longer. Besides the stealth changes / nerfs the even changed the link to the patch notes but didn't change the link on the patcher. Why? Because they didn't want information readily available. There can't be any other reason and switching a URL is something most 6 year old children are capable of.
