What faction and server are you? Perhaps I should join yours. Please come back and tell us how the population is when you reach the upper vet zones. It is so silly to think that the game is going down in flames. Has nobody put in the thought that us casuals take time to enjoy the game? I only just recently reached V1 and I see plenty of people. I have to hurry often to reach world bosses and then wait with others to do the beat down that are waiting with me as they didn't get to the world boss as I have.

I'm one of the founders of an trading guild, which shortly after foundation was full (500 members). 4 weeks back there were in the evening hours around 120 to 150 of them online, now it's hardly 80 although I removed lots of inactive members and recruited new ones. And two other trading guilds I'm with show the same decrease in activity.Seroczynski wrote: »I haven't noticed yet. Guild which consist of 500 people will always have 80% of their people offline.
The number of players in Cyrodiil did decrease noticeable too. 4 to 6 weeks back you had 3 or 4 large sieges at the same time, now it is only 1 or 2 and that with decreased numbers of players in each battle.
I don't say that TESO is dying or even dead, but I say that number of players has taken a big hit, which is noticeable, if one isn't ignoring it. The game has lost lots of players due to too much bugs. ZoS has to be faster and more effective in debugging the game if they want to stop the exodus of players. We are now in the phase were players will leave the game not because of too much bugs, but simply because so many others have left and they get the feeling of being on a sinking ship. ZoS has to show them that they are doing a good job in debugging and balancing - but this has not happened yet.

Not dying at all from what I can tell. Dungeon queues for DPS are like 3 minutes. Tanks are instant. PvP queues are pretty much instant.
I have characters from 15-50 in WS and all the zones are almost overpopulated. World PVP is just insane.
I wouldn't classify anything about it as dying. A lot of people are turned off by how the PvE is hard and may have left.
It's not casual. Dungeons are hard, even random mobs can kill you if you are bad. But when you die, it's always mechanics and not just increased health and dmg from the mob that kills you so it's fair.
Most importantly is all the classes seem to be pretty balanced and all of them are good. Most of them are not really that much fun until around lvl 21-25 but they are all good.

I thought about it, but honestly why would you play a sci-fi Guild Wars 2 clone with a subscription when you can play Guild Wars 2 without one? It's not like Guild Wars 2 is a bad game.
Of course, some people just can't wait to get their next shiny fix. If it ain't new they ain't interested.
Never even played WoWborn2beagator wrote: »Thechemicals wrote: »Wildstar mmo, which came out about 2 weeks ago, is still dying as of 3pm today as well and will go f2p. Here is more proof

Shame if you hanged on a little more you could have been awed by clunky wow-style combat and horrible and flat zone design that makes the game look like a 2007 gPotato title
Not to mention questing...

Well, SWTOR did get a second life after its initial hybrid F2P launch, though its first foray into the hybrid model was fraught with consternation. And, it still has a relatively healthy subscriber base.
So perhaps there's something to this.

What I think is funny is that people who where bashing on ESO about having bugs and glitches and fixes, and calling people who say its normal fanboys, are now the ones defending Wildstar and saying give it time.

yep. they close a thread trashing their main competitor atm and leave open a massive thread about their game dying. makes sense.
At least that conversation was entertaining

I dunno if moderation is done directly by ZOS employees or outsourced but being more proactive with the haters and trolls would have been a good move...
I dunno why companies think that letting trolls badmouth their game on their forum is a good idea
ps keep in mind there's only ONE mega server for all of europe and ONE for the US, I wasn't expecting these low pop level for ONE UNIQUE server
lol for the longest time I couldn't imagine why the dev's don't communicate at all, then I realized they're all too busy playing WS.

That's an important point I think many don't even realise. When I walk around my current vet zone and only see a couple other guys running around, you get a feel for just how low the population has actually gotten. I don't need to see hard numbers or graphs, I can just jump in game and see the population decline myself.
