[edit] UPDATE: A GM kindly assisted me in-game last night and did a lil' sumpn sumpn to allow me to fight Molag and I was able to progress. If you are having problems, submit an in-game ticket and hopefully a GM will contact you.
Still getting grabbed and killed instantly by Molag Bal. I've tried re-logging, starting it over, spamming ultimate and X keys, still nothing. I submitted an in-game ticket and upon submission it asked if I was trying to report a player, which was odd.
This was reported earlier at http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/106354/quest-god-of-schemes/p1 but there are players STILL having problems.
Awfully frustrating spending hours trying workarounds when this is the end of the main story quest and the bug has been known about for almost two weeks now. Pretty sad and if it's not fixed quick it will be the end of my sub.

GossiTheDog✭✭✭✭✭They may need to hotfix it again. After each reboot they seem to need us to tell them to reapply the hotfix.0 -

GossiTheDog✭✭✭✭✭Literally every time they touch the game I have to post here about this quest reminding Zenimax to reapply this hotfix.
Also twice now they've restarted the wrong megaserver during maintenance, happened again with EU today.
I have no clue. Basic MMO things are just not done right. Cc @ZOS_MattFiror.1 -
o_0✭✭✭✭@ZOS_GinaBruno There should be no investigating needed if the same hotfix has to get pushed out every patch day. Should we start making "Fix Molag Bal" threads before the servers go down on patch day to help speed things along?1

I noticed in some old patch notes that they fixed an issue if you had an active pet whilst engaging Mr Bal .. I tried disabling my pet and voila it worked for me.
Before I got grapped and he either never let go .. or I fell to my death or I fell and hovered above the ground like I was possessed etc.
Maybe it doesn't work, but it's worth a try0
