Video capture of Bots w/character name.

Jday444_ESO
Well sat there and captured video of a group of bots in action, with the user name of a character at the head, just killing the same MOB over and over.......the question is where to send it????

Only thing in game is a screen capture.

Hey there, @Jday444_ESO‌. We ask that if you would like to report a player for inappropriate activity, you do so in-game by right-clicking their name and selecting the "Report Player" function. You can also submit a ticket if you'd like to report any exploits. Thank you for helping us keep ESO free of bots.

Please... don't bother even suggesting this.
    1. with 20-30 bots in ONE area it's really hard to do ZOS's work for them.
    2. these *** bots move SO fast, you can't report them a lot of the time.
    3. most of them are being created, doing one mission (like the race quest in winterhelm) and then sending off the $$$ and deleting the character, making it a pointless waste of time to try and report.

As a Mod you know NOTHING about the issues we are facing even doing something as simple as reporting. I know you'er just copy pasting from your list of basic responses and you don't really know what it's like trying to do this type of reporting. You guys need to set up a better system at the very least.

ZOS's response to this current issue is just pathetic. The system is the problem, our current efforts are achieving nothing to help as far as I can tell.
I am sick to death of reporting bots... I play in the US offpeak (at like your 3-4AM) and it is just a joke how many bots are *** this game...

If I did this for every bot i saw i would never have time to play the game. I have sent reports saying there are lines of bots and got this reply. just from standing in the one spot for 2 minutes about 20 of them passed me. recording them would make it a lot easier for you and us players.

Sorry, @ZOS_JasonL, but getting one of them to stand still long enough to push F on him is quite a challenge on the ones actually bothering to be above ground or visible, and quite impossible on the rest.

Personally, I'm feeling more and more that ZOE's policy on not calling out players on the forum is wrongheaded and silly. That YouTube video would be very helpful for you guys to do your job, a lot more so than players wasting their time running around, desperately trying to target one bot long enough to report him, hoping you'll get his buddies whenever you get around to dealing with him.

    Um... what?

I mean, bear with me, I tried, I really, really tried. I reported them. I reported the spammers, I reported both for weeks. Every message that came into my inbox, I did a write up. Just like you asked. Yesterday I logged in to see 20, yes, twenty pieces of mail from spammers.

I did help you. I did exactly what you asked, and you didn't do anything. I can't help you, if you won't do anything. If you won't take the initiative and deal with the bots. I know I'm not the only one. I've seen the threads. I've seen people complaining about it chat. Hell, I saw the article on Kotaku. This is actually newsworthy, or at least, whatever passes for newsworthy on Kotaku.

I tried. Now, it's your turn. Do something about these bots, because I've done all I can.

Once I start reporting all the bots I see in ESO I won't be able to do anything else, considering how effing many there are.

You can only keep a status you have achieved at some point - and you are far from it. We, the players, are already helping - what the heck are you doing?

While I do not want bots running around and ruining the game, I see reporting them as being a very quick thing I should be able to do and move on. People are Paying to play this game and and at present some guys are reportedly spending hours trying to do this and after they have seen a very poor response or little impact are starting to tire of doing this. Some of them may enjoy doing it which is fine but it is starting to feel like it is now a chore in the game. It;s like callign the police to ssay your being burgled and the police respond with.. "thanks for informing us, if you could just go and get their photos and maybe names for us we will escalate this for you. Your Burglary is important to us and we will have a better service for you SOON!"

You really think its harsh pointing out the players are doing more than the guys they are paying?

I'm sorry @ZOS_JasonL‌ but I can't no longer waste anymore of my time in-game that I'm paying for to help a company that don't help the paying costumer. If you want this bots reported on your archaic reporting system I recommend you do it yourself because I'm done doing it for you. I have no longer the desire or the patience to do anything else until I see ZOS doing something mayor to cut down in spam mail in-game, spam mail in the forums, spam on chat and the horde or bots that plagues this game every zone. I'm done, like I always tell my kid; "before I help you do something, you have to help yourself by doing it first, try before you ask someone to do it for you." ZOS, you should apply that to yourself.

No these bots need to be publicly flogged. Not discretely punished so nobody see's you guys doing anything. AND honestly....I think less of Zenimax that they do not take a PUBLIC stance against botters and hackers.

First off these guys are using STOLEN CREDIT CARDS. STOLEN STOLEN STOLEN is the key word here. Hey lets make them feel warm and fuzzy even though they are STEALING MONEY from us.

    Seriously...re-adress your policy's.

@Jday444_ESO‌ unfortuantly, the reporting system is a bit hard to understand when it comes to screen shots, and getting other proof, we have no idea what you guys even need to do this correctly. pretty sure every time I try to attach screen shot, I'm pretty sure I'm just screenshotting the reporting window. There needs to be proper instructions and an easier way to report these people, otherwise it's down to the inefficient reporting one at a time unsure if we have given the right info. for instance, do I need to keep these spam mails in my inbox? how can I take a screenshot of my mail box? This is one reason I'm one of the people ignoring bots, but I still know they are harming the game

This issue is completely out of control. Zenimax doesn't even seem to care or even try to deal with the issue, if they do care it is very low on the priority list. The bots make no effort at all to cover what they are doing which shows how little effort is put in to stopping them. I'm not sure why the system is setup in a way that can't detect it at all, it almost seems like they made the game for the bots.

I started an alt recently and pretty much every publlic dungeon I have gone in to has groups of 20+ running the same exact routes with the bots inches from eachother turning on a dime at the same exact spots. They pretty much all seem to be templars spamming biting jabs. Most of the solo dungeons it is the same things huge groups doing circles.

The fact that ZOS hasn't even put in a halfway decent way to report this shows how little they actually care about it. Their answer is use the report feature. @ZOS_JasonL The reporting feature IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. You have to sprint through to catch these bots that never stop moving and never stay still enough to pull up the report menu. There is no way to just report there are 40+ bots in an area. When I did spend a lot of my gametime catching them and reported probably 20 of the 40+ bots running a public dungeon I never heard anything back. When you finally catch one to report you click report player and .. waiting .. waiting .. waiting .. maybe a miniute later the support page will load sometimes it doesn't load at all. You want me to do this 40+ times so that you don't have to bother to have a GM show up? I stay in the area to see if anyone shows up and not one dev shows up.

@ZOS_JasonL If you guys can't be bothered to even have a GM show up to the places where 40+ bots roam 24/7 and even try to find them why on Earth do you expect us to pay a subscription fee to try to report them through one of the worst reporting systems ever put in an online game? If you guys are OK with yoru game going down in smoke because you don't want to hire GM's to deal with this can I get a refund for the the game? I expected a lot more.

There are so many TOOLS in these forums (such as this guy here), I could easily start a hardware store. Thanks again for minimizing Zenimax's complete failure of controlling bots by blaming it on the victims.

Yes, I would like to suggest to the mod that replied to this to log into the game, find a train of 10 bots screaming around the dungeon, and try and report that. I guarantee you its next to impossible...

    Hi guys,

We can confirm that we're working in order to fight the bots and the Gold Sellers.

Please, if you believe that you're encoutering a bot or a Gold Seller, we would like you to report them for innapropriate activity. You can do so in-game by right-clicking their name in the chat and selecting the "Report Player" function. This also can be done by getting close to the bot, and using the report system as action.

We really would like to thank you all for reporting exploits and bots!

In the mean time, this thread has been locked. We'd like to encourage you to stay polite and appropriate when chatting on our forums.
