Speed Hack & bots

Hi,

I rolled an alt today and is at Khenarthi roost. Suddenly I see 6 players moving with their heads just over the ground and moving very rapidly. They cover most of the map outside Mistral in matter or seconds.

I am sitting on a rock just outside the city, and I see them zooming around like they are on rockets. I cannot target to report any of them, because they are TOO FAST to target with only the head showing (other players are moving as normal).

Allowing such hacks ingame, it just leaves a pretty bad taste about the future of the game. It is annoying to say the least. And I though I encountered some players on Cyrodiil moving like that tonight (not with the wizard bolt spell), and thought it was lag, hence I made the alt to relax a bit.

Fix your server positioning routines and ban those **********

Problem is, one gets banned, another takes his place. How many times do we have to tell people that botting/gold selling is still going on in WoW? 10 yrs and Blizzard hasn't been able to fix the problem. Sure, they've had tons of time to work with it, so they mostly get banned immediately.

And yet you think ESO will have a strong fix/solution for it in a month and half of release? Giving them time to work with it will make the future better, that's not very hard to see.

Problem is people want it now now now. Report em and move along, if you can catch em! I read somewhere that there was an addon to catch their names. But even if i can't catch their names, i make a feedback/bug report and just explain to them whats going on where, when, what time, etc.

its really not about they "allow" this, I believe the game code is hacked from the ground up.

I would not be surprised if these bots did not make any payment to ZOM at all.

Its doable, you just gotta be quick (or wait where you know they are roaming)

(just don't be too good at reporting it... or they 'sink' your thread !)

Saw this in a popular botter forum:
Just ASM and CE, I've made:
Gradient Speed Invert (go faster up/down slopes rather than slower)
    Infinite Dodge Rolls
    No Fall Damage
    Super Speed (very fast)
    Walk in Air
Rofl i got banned for using this XD doesnt really matter anyway, I am tired of this game
So we know folks are making hacks, thanks to so much of the game being run and controlled on client-side, and we also know they're being banned.

Honestly, I do think ZOS is working on solving the bot issue as much as they can. I have been watching off and on over the last three hours as a group of the same bots kill themselves over and over again like lemmings at the Hollow City wayshrine in Coldharbour. They keep running into the wall and insta-dying. It's rather amusing.
Far too many characters to list any more.

Those who think's it's not doable know nothing about software development.

Looking at how many bugs that are still left in the game however I think the company is very stressed about a lot of things and this one is not a high priority apparently.

A bit of server validation code, flagging strange things that should not be possible, if it happens a few times too often, ban the account.
Not that hard, but seeing how many bugs there are, this code they need to get right.
They could also investigate flagged possible cheaters themselves by watching them etc or outsource that to some indian company with low wages.
