BOTS are out of control

Hi There,

Please may i respectfully ask if we can have some sort of update on the BOTTING that is happening within the game?

I am aware that there are large numbers of the community out there that are saying "keep Calm and stay alert and report them all" and this is a very good tactic to take but for how long do we need to do this for? I mean i spend alot of my gaming now simply reporting them as i move through and this doesn't make much of an good or fun experience?

Im not a high level and i enjoy farming mats and making some money in game while i level slowly with multiple alts. When trying to do this and farm now there are nothing but guys flying around from node to node both above ground and below ground.

I know there are heaps of threads about botters and bots but i cant find any recent post updating us, the clients, on what the company is doing about it.

Are we right to assume this will also affect the economy of the game?

Personally the bots don't affect the economy, ZOS designed an AH-less economy as flawed by design for me I don't use it: the price-gougers abusing the very limited market 5 guild captive market have compared to the whole server destroyed it long before RMT made an impact.

To me bots are a menace that prevent me from harvesting my own materials, that's all.

They also break the immersion, as they move against physics, they run in the sky, under ground, through building, at 300% speed, or simply teleporting.

While i see the crappy issue with the bots, as we all hate them, ZOS can't update people every 2 or 3 minutes just because people want it that way.

Zos has clearly told us to report the issue in game if we can, even if you cant target the individual, throwing them some feedback / bug report without their name can even spark the GM's to come and take care of things.

ZOS does not need to update people with what they're doing every 2 seconds of the day. They're working on the issue, report in game as much as you can and call it a day.

I myself have been farming mats like a freak on a new crafting character, & i havnt had much of a problem at all, except laughing as i see warp speed bots run around as i try to report em :P

I didnt ask for an update every 2 or 3 minutes, i asked as a paying customer for an update on something that is clearly out of control thats all?

You maybe farming like a freak but lets be serious and realistic you can not be farming successfully with enough mats yourself without supplementing from buying from a guild more to actually progress any crafting?

Not to put it all on you, i apologize, it just is irritating to always see people wanting an update all the time, when they've clearly given updates out/ And they've clearly updated you on the situation. They're working on it, if you've taken time out to read other threads/the 3-5 on the front page.

Bots will be around forever. Along with gold sellers. There will be no more updating of the issue at a different level besides "were working on it." As it is a common problem in all MMO's, and will continue to be for ages.

And i havnt bought mats yet, as like i stated, i snag mats like a beast and loot everything i can find.

I agree with you I fear. These bots will be around forever, as the game was designed with more holes than swiss cheese. Just a matter of how long players will be willing to play Elder Bots Online before giving up on the game I guess.

Im not acting like i need an update every 2-3 minutes stop yelling out like a 15 year old puberty teenager. Im simply asking for an update as a paying customer to an issue that is plaguing this game i love. Yes thank you for pointing out all the threads that are there asking what is going on or complaining about the BOTS, clearly with so many posts about it is VERY clear of the issue yet we still dont see anything apart from "they are aware of it and are working on it". They are working on it, and to just report all the bots you see is starting to get a little thin really. Let me give you an example of this,

Customer calls me to say, "hey i brought this piece of software from your company for $100 and i signed up to a subscription for $15 a month to use it. Its a great game and im enjoying it alot however the enjoyment for me (I have been on your site as well and looked and my there are allot of others posting about this issue as well) is now starting to not be there to what I LIKE to do. What i do like to do is to collect these little bricks and then try and sell em to my guildies to make myself some money or to craft and it does take a while to craft doesnt it. The reason why im telling you this is everytime i go to collect them some how something invisible or moving at 100 miles an hour beats me to it and collects it i am unable to get enough to really be effective at either crafting or making myslef some money"

My reply to that customer, "yes yes, do you not read the damn forums im sick of you reporting your issues that you pay for god damn it sick of it why dont you read the others complaining about the same issues. We are working on it thats all you need to know...... click"

2 weeks later its the same thing customer looks at the site and the same thing, "we are working on it" and thats all nothing else but we are working on it?

But it seems to be getting worse now but we are still working on it, oh and of course guys remember keep spending a large amount of your game time (and some people only get a few hours a day) sending those reports in we love about those nasty BOTS

Now i wouldnt have customers to long if i did this and i suspect why some people are choosing to unsub? By the way as only a forum poster how would you know

And your wrong about a common problem, while WOW is full of bots it is not full of bots that speed hack, teleport to nodes instantly or farm underground, yes these things happened in the game but no where near the extent its happening here.

Also if it is working so well for you mate why dont you email me over some seriously snag mats your farming like a beast ill update here tomorrow let people know if you did send me a good couple of stacks of mats to use for crafting but you know what i bet you wont cause your time is precious on what YOU do in game, my name is here on the forums and i play on both servers so please send me some of those mats your farming like a beast.

So If it irritates you so much looking at paying customers complain about a product not working as intended then dont read them?

Red your correct on this and that is partly what im on about. More updates keeps people happier then the same thing over and over again, "we are working on it" and "keep reporting them", lame. I dont want to stop playing this game its been along time since a game has inspired me with so many options of creation and the beauty of the backdrops but i do think that alot of people who only play 3-4 hours a day wont stick around.

Like stated before it's obviously impossible for ZOS to respond to every single post in regards to the botting issue. Although they have stated "to be working on it" quite a while ago now, it would be nice if they could give some clear statement on the progress on getting the issue improved (I don't expect it to be ever solved, but improved it can be).

When can we actually expect changes that really make a difference? Obviously we know what the botters are capable of using exploits that allow them to teleport, have no-clipping, and many many more issues that go far beyond regular gameplay. And I would expect that ZOS would at least be able to give a time estimate of when real fixes will be released to at least fix these issues, as it will at least make it harder to run bots already.

An official response from ZOS would be very welcome by now, as I think it's too long ago they gave an official update on the status of this issue!

This is what im asking for not an individual response to my post. It has been far to long now that they have released anything so it si needed.

Im just bored to see bot, party bot, flying char everywhere. And im just bored to report them. I pay my subs to play not to report bot all the time.
