What you guys are talking about is a load of rubbish. 'Don't be trusting with officer spots'? I need help to run a guild that size, it's difficult to one man army a bunch of veterans.

nerevarine1138, I came here to ASK if there was anything to be done. I can say I've only had a few decent, useful responses and a crap load of useless ones.

Yeah everyone takes a risk promoting officers and the likes, just next time i would not give them such power. Your active, your on a decent amount, if anybody needs a kicking, take care of it yourself.

Don't give power to people right away, i learned the hard way just like you did, only i learned in WoW. Luckily half the people in the guild were my friends, and we got the guild back up with ease.

Look big, i have run countless guilds in my time. from everquest to here. You need help, yes we all do when it comes to running a guild. BUT you also need to know who you are putting in to power, If your not going to take a mmo vets words on this then there is nothing for any of us to tell you.

If this is the most serious problem you have in life....you're doing good. I'm not a big fan of guilds and power trippers that start them anyway. I say you are better off and move on.

as i said big, there is nothing you can do sadly. Just start over and hope that you have a better 2nd run, also as i recommended get to know the people before you grant them power...most (not all) will go on power trips.

Yasha , thats the point the OP is trying to say that these other forum trolls either refuse to acknowledge or are really just that flatout stupid , i dont think his intent is to shame the guy but moreso showing that the history is showing an error in whos gotten kicked , and that because of this BUG he cant find all his members and tell them what happened , and of course if they chose his side or not will end up being another story , but thats the point this history of guild activity bugged on him and he wants to see if a GM/Dev can help him sort it out i suppose , with no real intention on shaming the guy. hopefully the forum morons learn to actually READ and grasp the point of a message rather then just shoot stuff from the mouth.

Well, i might have a very good advise for you, maybe.

If you recruit by randomly inviting everybody who wants to join, you will end up with a lot of bad people for your guild.

Since you have to start over anyway, do per application. best way to keep things fine.

So we have the lowest guildrank on kinda trail member. Trail member cannot sell in store and take out of the bank. I invite ppl to that rank so they can see if they like it in our Guild. Then they have like 1 week time to drop an application on our homepage. If they dont they get booted out, if they do they get a meeting in TS.
So me and/or my recruitement officers can check em out. If everything is fine they get the normal member rank etc.

If they want to take part in the higher ranks performing guild jobs etc. they have to be in the guild for a little while and take part in our community or prooven themself trustworthy over time.

Thats just an advise from guildleader to guildleader. For us its has prooven to be the best system. Never ever had Black Sheeps.

But thats just what works best for me. It might not for you.

It astonishes me how many LOL's you got for posting this. Some people must be really pathetic to laugh at another persons genuine problems and annoyance.

I feel for you, maybe speak to Zeni first, if you suspect his accounts hacked then definitely speak to them. See if they can do anything to help you.

    Good luck!

Sorry to hear that OP. That really sucks. Just wondering, is there an option to switch off the ability for your officers to kick from the guild? Might be worth looking into.

There is an option. You can just uncheck a checkbox and done ;)

The Officer rank comes exactly with the same permissions as the Guild leader rank though. Except Officers cant edit permissions at all.

But yea, you can set that off pretty easy.

/offtopic : Just to mention, i dislike the guild rank system as it is by now. we need the ability to add more ranks. 4 is not enough. I have to set all pvp raidleaders to officers just so they can claim stuff in cyrodiil..

So an officer got pissed at the guild leader being inactive and decided to make himself the new leader by forming a new guild taking most of the membership with him.

To compound the problem for the OP, there's a bug in the guild history log, which only shows the kickers account name for all entries (even the members being kicked). This makes contacting the kicked former members impossible.

Unfortunately there is virtually nothing you can do about this OP, except to live n learn. Don't give that sort of power out so easily to people you don't completely trust, but I'm sure that's a lesson you've now learned the hard way.

So what do you need help with? Rebuilding the guild? If you don't have a spreadsheet with the member list, by the way good thing to have next time, you're going to have to rebuild it the old fashion way.

Put an ad in the guild forum about what happened and stating that the kicking was unwarranted, and hope members will see it. Directly contact those whose names you do remember. And for everyone you reconnect with, see if they know any of the other members who were also kicked. Finally a few quick zone messages in various high traffic areas might help you get in touch with the rest.

Keep it simple, you don't want to air too much of your guild drama out there. "Arch-Enemy is looking for former members who were wrongly kicked out. Please message me for a reinvite." OR something like that, good luck.

The way that it is not showing the list of who was actually kicked and is showing the wrong is really weird. Did you bug that? Something is really up there. Also, do you use any add-ons that might have somehow interfered with the display of the history? It might be worth looking into.

I don't know if it would get you anywhere, but it wouldn't hurt to put a Customer Support ticket in to see if they could possibly give you the real list of who was kicked from the guild so you could invite them back.

There's usually two sides to every story. If a guild officer thinks that the leader is incompetent or mentally unstable, he is well within his rights to disband and reform the guild.
Um, no, he is well within his rights to leave the guild and tell others to join him, but it's not his right to disband the existing guild.

Hi guys. Got a serious problem. One of my guild officers went mental and kicked every single person except for 10 before I stopped him. What can I do about this? I can't even see the whole list of @userid's, it just says his userid. Here is some information about it.

This guy told my entire guild that we were disbanding and reforming under a different name and that we should rejoin him.

The name of my guild is Arch-Enemy. The name of the other guild is 'The Order of Arch-Enemy' and they've done it because I refused to give up my guild master seat to one of my officers who demanded it.

Does he plan to disband the guild or kick everyone out then keep the guild bank as personal inventory space? It seems like a waste of extra storage space to disband the guild.
  • TheBattleMuffin
As the person who created Order of Arch-Enemy, its time to respond to this flaming piece of garbage.

He was a highly inactive guild master. For weeks the guild was run by myself and other officers. One day we confronted him with a large group of people on TS, and collectively asked him to give up leadership of the guild. He refused - he kicked myself and another officer of the guild who were extremely popular with the members. A good friend of mine was the host of the TS, and I was the owner of our website so one thing led to another and we used the Arch-Enemy name since that is who we are.

Benny harassed us on our website, glitching his browser to retain moderation powers even after his removal from the website and deleted posts that people spent long periods of time writing. Our retribution was that one of our mates who was still an incognito officer in his guild kicked all the members out. Simple as that.

We have all told him the same thing - instead of moaning and raging - think about why 50+ people chose to leave you during 24 hours and to follow me - but he refused to understand reason.

    That's my two cents.

EDIT: The officer who did it was on TS with myself and several of our guild members - his account was not hacked.

@BigBennyLava‌ I say this to you - drop it because you are making a fool of yourself. You don't realise that a badge next to your name means nothing when people don't respect you.

PS: I'm getting personal threats from him and another member of his guild - @Doserr - screenshots have been provided and hopefully Zenimax will take appropriate action.

Don't give power to people right away, i learned the hard way just like you did, only i learned in WoW. Luckily half the people in the guild were my friends, and we got the guild back up with ease.

I ran the guild for him along with the other officers and he gave no credit where it was due - that's why he was asked to step down - his reply was to kick us. Our reply was to leave him with himself.

He didn't recruit a single person in a month - he hadn't participated in a single event for weeks, and 90% of guild members did not even know he was the GM which is why most members followed unquestioningly when we formed the new guild.

A mate offered to provide the TS - he did not offer to donate money to help with hosting.

I paid 150$ out of my own pocket for a custom domain and website - he did not offer a single dime except to criticize and say what he would have done different - the day after we asked him to step down as GM.

Furthermore - I am the owner of the only www.arch-enemy.org domain therefore Benny cannot claim ownership of that name under any way shape or form. Our guild is called "The Order of Arch-Enemy", and his is simply "arch-enemy" - simple as that.

Now you guys know what kind of person you are dealing with here. A pathologic liar and paranoid maniac.

Well as a guildmaster you have to be ontop of these things, when he demanded guild master you should have immediately revoked his priviledges. Also any successful GM of a larger or semi successful smaller guild had spies EVERYWHERE.

But in the end I was the one having spies everywhere because I was fully responsible for the management of the guild. Benny would come in once or twice a week, lording over everyone, then would leave without a word.

I wanted advice on what should be done in a situation like this, but as usual from the forums you get a bunch of trolls replying. Bit of a waste of time.

    You got us! Sorry!

There's a button, in the Guild settings window (under "super advanced") that's labeled: Recreate Guild Disbanded by Disgruntled Officer.

Click it and you're all set!

    Happy now?

I did not disband it - a disgruntled member who still had officer privileges did so in retribution for the damage to our forums done by Benny (also he simply kicked the members, only the GM can disband). I had to contact the Webs support team and they were actually looking to see if it was simple glitching or actual hacking (which has legal consequences for doing so to a registered domain).
