How many players are actually in Cyrodiil now?

Right now, on a Saturday night, typical nerd video game night, on the NA megaserver, only Wabbajack is locked across the board. So that represents around 2-3k players. There are two other Cyrodiil shards with 3 bars and only 1 faction has three bars or locked in each of those. The other factions in those two Cyrodiils are at 1 bar. I can imagine the facerolling that must be going on in those.

The other 7 Cyrodiil shards are at 1 bar for all three factions. On a Saturday night.

Too back they locked that thread from the guy who unsubbed. It's about was much constructive crtiicism as you'll probably read from a typical disappointed player. Along the line of this thread, there should have been a token BG or some intentionally small scale pvp available at launch. This is 2014, not 2004.

I think they would have seen how popular BG-type pvp was with the launch day player. Now that they are dropping out, Cyrodiil is only going to be home to the ones currently happy.

Wouldn't it be funny if the millions of dollars they likely spent to develop the Cyrodiil part of the game only provided entertainment for fewer than 10k players during peak time?

Empty campaigns, friends and guild lists where people aren't logging in any more, empty Veteran zones, countless closed "quit" threads, general attitude of discontent among the fan sites, constant low viewers on Twitch compared to competitor MMORPGS, etc.
