Watching sorcs in Cyrodill bolt away time and time again can be very frustrating. They can get out of my bow range before I get a chance to draw in focused Aim - thats a 40 meter range in less than 3 seconds.
-
Could you make bolt a little less "Get out of jail free" please? I think it suffers from a lot of the issues that made mistform annoying.

Sorry - I understand if sorcs will be annoyed I say that - but for those of us with mere mortal capabilities it would be nice to be able to finish the fight.

Yeah there are ways to deal with bolt escape, just like there are ways to deal with jewellry empowered bash spam, dk standard, roots, etc. That doesn't mean they aren't way too strong and shouldn't be changed.

Hey I'm a Nightblade - I struggle enough as it is! Of course theres a lot of love for Bolt escape, and of course there are ways to counter it.. but my point is that in an even situation the sorc can press his quick escape, and I can't.

Especially if Im down on stamina. In a perfect situation I can stop a bolt..but how often is the situation perfect? Sorcs on the other hand use it as an emergency escape, after everything else. Its too easy - thats all. But its not like I'm saying overthrow the government. And I DID add a funny video :P

The videos dont really reflect most of the situations I see bolt used in.. its not used as a combat skill.. its used as a flee skill, and thats a big difference.

It's a little silly but whatever. There are ways to counter it or just ignore them all together.

I had this bold sorc bolt in on me last night in Cyrodiil while I was little off to the side away from the main group. I proceeded to start mashing him, he realized that he couldn't kill me, so he started to bolt out. I then watched him die to my dots. It was rather satisfying.

You have shadow cloak and path of darkness.

Good sorcs use BE to position themselves. If a sorc is spamming BE to escape, that means they had a full magicka bar already. A sorc fresh out of a fight isn't going anywhere.

Use your stealth skills (Path of Darkness and Shadow Cloak and Consuming Darkness).

So that's THREE skills you can use to escape fights, or shall we nerf all those as well.

That's an example of a bad sorc. You shouldn't engage with a hit and run mindset. You will never win any fight that way.

To all my fellow sorcerers out there who always spam BE at the slightest sign of trouble; You know who you are. You're not only spineless, you're skill-less. BE should only be used to escape from a zerg and that's it. 1v1, 1v3, 1v4, I don't care. Take the death. In fact I want you to die on purpose. I want you to take as many risks as you can. Failure is the soil of success. You will never become a better player if all you do is run away.
