Question regarding cancelling subscription procedure

Naisho
Naisho
Hello,
I've searched forums and haven't found answer to thing that interests me.
Whenever i cancel my subscription - present game time is left for me? I have about 20 days left and i want to cancel my subscription, but i want to play for a while yet.
So - i cancel subscription = i won't be charged for renewal when my game time expires, but still will be able to to play for what i am left ? My understanding is right ?

You can still play till it runs out.

Yes. You've already paid for your existing time so even if you cancelled this second you would still be able to play your existing time. Cancelling just means you won't be charged for the next period.

Well actually i paid more than enough - i tried 3 month subscription - got charged but not given game time. After that tried monthly subscription and it charged me twice but added only 30 days.
Os i'm simply waiting for my money to be given back to me and till the issue with double payments is resolved - not going to resubscribe till it is fixed.

"When you set up a new subscription (or change your payment method), our billing system will perform an authorization check. In this case, you'll see both an authorization check and the subscription charge on your account, both for the same amount. Only the funds for the subscription will be kept; the authorization charge indicates funds being placed on hold for the subscription until the authorization itself is complete.

Keep in mind that different financial institutions handle authorizations differently, so the time it takes for the funds from the authorization to be released to you will vary. For some players, it will be very quick (within 24 hours), and for others it could take several days if not longer.

Also worth noting is that in the future, we do plan to decrease the authorization amount so that it is no longer for the full amount.

Can't say I've personally run into this issue myself, as my bank seemed to authorize almost instantaneously. The only glaring issue I can see is the extremely high initial authorization amount. While a charge being sent to your account to authorize it is common practice, I've never seen a charge outside of the $0.01-$3.00 range.

Same. Even if I wanted to play this game (and safe god I dont want anymore) I have all my money held up for 45 days, so cant posibly have a recurring sub.

Maybe I'll check how the game is doing in a year or two.

Meantime I'll go GW2. And I can always pay for a more original MMO, because ESO after al lturned out to be quite mediocre. Or maybe my expectations were high.

@Sidereal, issue is arroused because if billing fails - Trader dissapers, not providing cancelation code to the bank, in order to unfreeze the autho.
