Wild star is a great place for preteens and teenage boys to play with each other online. Its world of Warcraft with a new haircut.

Wow, that is pretty bad. I'd love to see a link to that, would be interesting to see the companies reaction to that going public.
This is what I've been afraid of. I'm deliberately taking my time with slow exploration of each zone, and a good bit of time spent just walking around harvesting, but one can't ignore the quests forever. I feel like I'm levelling too fast. Since Auridon especially, I feel like I'm just slicing through each zone like butter. Half the reason I move on from one zone to the next is that I've become overlevelled for that zone.rawne1980b16_ESO wrote: »To be honest, it's fizzled out a bit for me too.
It started when I hit vet content. I rolled a character on Daggerfall and Ebonheart because I detest the AD areas.
I've tried to level through them but I get half way through Auridon and delete it. I can't stand it. So what happens when I get my Daggerfall character to VR1 ..... it gets sent to Auridon.

I like both ESO and Wildstar , and I'm far from being a teen .
Seems that the people who are already at VR levels (well some of them) are bored.
I know everyone is free to play the way they like, but after countless MMOs where you burn out after a month isn't the case of realizing that taking your time and doing other things in RL as well leads you to a longer enjoyment?
As it happenes EVERY time a new MMO comes out...
You really think WS will be any different?

One thing I look forward to in mmos is rolling alts to experience different classes and factions. VR leveling sucks out some of the anticipation of rolling an alt. Might as well keep the alts as mules because I don't think I'd go through VR leveling as is again.
If Wildstar were a b2p, I'd pick it up now but it isn't. Two mmos with monthly subscriptions would be one too many. Who would spend all that time on leveling and gearing characters in two mmos anyway.

So why didn't you level alts while waiting for the devs to offer more avenues of VR levelling? The game is a month old, we still have to get Craglorn, they are raising PVP XP, we will get more content, Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild.
This happens every time

Are you saying I should roll what would basically be dead-end alts to 50/VR1 and hope that ZOS makes VR leveling more palatable? That goes against everything I learned in mmos.
I'll see what's what with VR10s first. It's not like I'm locked in for six months or anything.

I got good at lockpicking in Skyrim but this one is more like the one in Oblivion and I sucked at that one, too. I wish there was an alternate like a spell to open or make more time or something. I get so discouraged when I see a chest and just have to ignore it.

What problem are you having with picking locks?

I'm not quick enough to let go at the first jiggle and then run out of time. If I had a lot of lockpicks I could find a simple chest somewhere no one would bother me and keep working at it until I got the knack but I'm not going to spend precious gold buying lockpicks to open a chest that will probably give me nothing special.
I played Wildstar beta, and had to give it up. It was just to daft to take serious or waste my time on, plus they have taken the cartoon look to the point of scribble.
