Refusal of refund

So I quit 2 weeks after release cause the game just didnt keep my interest at all. Forgot to cancel subscription and got billed for it. Tried to get ahold of support but of course there wasnt a number listed. Had to fill a form out so they could call me, quite a terrible idea IMO.

Fill out the form and there is a box saying 5 minutes for the call. Waited and waited and finally got a call almost 4 hours later. Of course I missed it while mowing the lawn. Missed the 2nd call while going to the bathroom, so they deverted to email. Took 2 days to get my final answer of no refund.

Has anyone also been denied recently within the last week of a sub refund? Has anyone been actually refunded for a sub in the last week?

Why would they refund you for a sub that you forgot to cancel? It's not their choice if you play or not, they won't cancel the sub for you. You've had all month to cancel your sub, if you decided you didn't want to pay you should have cancelled it.

Refund on the game is different, as you can use the argument, oh it's not how it was advertised etc etc, but there is no reason you should be refunded on a monthly sub because YOU forgot to cancel it.

I would probably deny you a refund as well in this case. Merchants pay transaction fees and processing fees to charge a credit card. There are more transaction fees and processing fees when they have to send a refund.

Why should a business foot the bill for these unrecoverable fees simply because a customer forgot to cancel a recurring subscription?

Try getting a refund for Netflix, or Hulu... or some other subscription service. I've had to fight for that a few times. It wasn't worth it.

Bad idea to come here for support on a cancel and refund. Most of the people who would agree/support you have moved onto different games and occupy other forums. You won't get much support/information/help here.

Just accept the loss as an experience. Remember to cancel your subscription next time.

Not how businesses work. If you subscribe to something and decide to cancel it is up to you to do so in a timely manner. No company has an "Ooops! You forgot so we will refund" policy. See if it grabs your interest over the next how ever much time you have left or just chalk it up to a lesson learned.

Ive gotten refunds from Hulu and Gamefly without any hassel.

Ive gotten refunds from WoW, GW/GW2, SWTOR, and FFXIV with just putting a ticket in without any problems at all.

I wonder how it came that you asked all these games for a refund... Either you are very negligent about subscription management, and you'll have to learn to keep tidy house in your finances, or you're not a MMO player, as if you canceled all these games, maybe the problem why you dislike ESO is not the game, but your game preferences and you are expecting something from MMO's that they cannot offer you...

And if I was a buisness, I wouldn't handout refunds for people who forget to cancel their subs... It is the customers responsabillity, not theirs...

Have you ever gotten bored of a game before? Thats why i requested refunds for those games, I played and got bored of them. I had to cancel Hulu and Gamefly cause I went over seas for 8 months. They were gladly to refund me with no problems.

Were human people forget and make mistakes.
