Quest Spikeball not working. (spoilers)

I was on the spikeball quest, and got a follow up quest (forgot to the name) to free hostages. That quest bugged on the last part, where I need to kill 2 people after opening the cage of the last npc. It worked ok a few times, but I kept dying, for a while. At one point however, another player opened the cage as I was fighting the 2 mobs, and I died. the npc did not respawn in the cage, and even though I killed the mobs (the irony!) the quest did not progress. I waited until the following day, and did a /camp to log off.
When I came back from work, the npc was back in his cage, but I still could not free him (the interaction was there, the animation happened, but he would not get out).
So, I abandoned the quest, thinking I'd be able to retake it, and do it again.
I went back to spikeball, which is the only quest showing up in the area, and to my horror, whether I loose or win, the quest goes into a loop, costing me 65G every time, but it does not grant the follow up quests

I mailed the support.,.. but well... *sigh* here's the exchange, I don't know if replying to the support is even Worth it

Your lack of progression can be potentially resolved with these counterspells.
1: Type in "/reloadui" and attempt to access the Spikeball afterwards.
2: Type in /camp" and exit the Portal for 15 minutes (this allows the cache to clear) before re-entering.
3: As a last resort: Abandon the Quest and acquire it again.
If these methods do not work then please submit a "/bug" report and reply to this missive that we may perhaps have to convene a higher level group of sorcerers to divine the quest and come up with solution!
If you desire any further knowledge or need further aid, please dont hesitate to reach out to us.

The original request, clearly stated I tried camp, and abandoning the quest seems to be what caused the issue in the first place, and I begged in the request, not to send me the typical copy/paste.
I would like to suggest for the first line of support to be able to grant/advance quests, as waiting for a fix can sometime takes, well a while, which is understandable. In this case, I tried the quests quite a few times, at 65g a pop, it's not a catastrophe, but I'm not the richest Argonian in Tamriel, so you know... a token compensation would have been nice
Anyone else having an issue?
When I came back from work, the npc was back in his cage, but I still could not free him (the interaction was there, the animation happened, but he would not get out).

Gelston✭✭✭I noticed when you do the spikeball game after you've done the quest, the spikeball doesn't work. You are probably stuck in that same bug now.Edited by Gelston on May 16, 2014 9:55AM1 -
Squishy✭✭✭Well, while Spikeball is still bugged, Hadran's fall was granted to me again today, although I do not know why the npc's decided to talk to me "now" *shrugg*
At least I can complete Hadran's fall, I just hope Reaper's march is not a Bangkorai/shadowfen type of "not enough quests to get the achivement" kinda zone

Tand spawned back next to me at the shrine
I travelled to another shrine, and he was there too...
I then travelled to another map, and he was gone... I'll check if that fixed it or not, as this could be a workaround.
*edit* this worked. Using a shrine is Tand spawns next to you after rezzing at the shrine resets him back to his cage, and the cage is working normally.
Tagging a ZOS staff to pass the info to the frontlines for the workaround for Hadran's Fall When tand's cage does not work. @zos_ameliaR

Striken7✭✭✭Those 3 quests (spikeball, lizard race, and whatever the third one in that area is) aren't necessary bugged until we hear otherwise. They are the only quests in the game that cost you gold to start them, they have no reward, and it's completely your choice to keep dumping gold into them to repeat them.
It's a gold sink for suckers.1
