The Rift - Q: Smoke on the Horizon - Scount nowhere to be found

I got the quest when the Argonian Scout encounters you out of nowhere. I chose to follow him to the fort, he led part of the way and then stopped. I was supposed to still follow him but he just stood there. I left the area and came back to see if I could try again and he was gone. I cannot find a quest for Boulderfall Pass anywhere, not in or near the fort. Is it bugged or am I Elder Scrolling wrong? I tried googling for answers but found nothing.

FIX FOUND: Abandoning the quest and starting over solved this issues, instead of having him lead on to the camp I just went there myself. Thanks to Tanyadawn55

The same thing happened to me. I abandoned the quest and later came back there was an icon for the quest.

I can't find this quest either - it shows up on the journal but not the map

Haven't had a chance yet but when I do I will let you know. If it works I will edit the post so others can find the solution.

questgiver comes on road to boulderfall pass (close to crossroad) and if you already got that quest(smoke on the horizon) and it looks bugged just abandon quest go on questgiver location pick up it again and when you speaking with him chose opinion that you know the way not take the first one what means he lead you there.
