Scorched Earth Policy?

According to Merriam-Webster the definition of a Scorched Earth Policy is ....

Used to describe a military policy in which all the houses, crops, factories, etc., in an area are destroyed so that an enemy cannot use them.

Unless I am mistaken this is the policy Zenimax has adopted and adapted to deal with the bots in ESO.

Unfortunately such a policy harms the local population just as much as the invaders and is never an end to a means but a strategy for gaining time for a counter-offensive.

Now I am a subscriber who loves this game but I am worried that Zenimax has no counter-offensive in the works, only more of the same scorched earth.....

Completely agree - all this does is reduce the fun for real players, while the bots don't care and move onto something else.

ZOS needs to reinstate the things they have taken away from us, and find some other way to combat the bots than nerf things.

Dutch legend has it that there was once a small boy who upon passing a dam on his way to school noticed a slight leak as the sea trickled in through a small hole. Knowing that he would be in trouble if he were to be late for school, the boy poked his finger into the hole and so stemmed the flow of water. Some time later a passerby saw him and went to get help. This came in the form of other men who were able to effect repairs on the dam and seal up the leak.

ZOS carried on and went to school instead. On the way home the dam burst and ZOS drowned.

    The end.

(The word d y k e is stupidly censored by american sensibilities so I substituted it with dam.)

Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll...
Everything I say is just my opinion. Like it or not - that's all it is.

It's spelt "dike" here. That's why the spelling with a 'y' means something different.
