o.k... just needed to get that off my chest...

Fact: Harvesters are one of the most difficult mobs in ESO.

True. There are guides out there to help people get better with them though:

    You just necro'd a early-game thread ;)

Anyways, I've done this 8 times and with all 4 classes, one character was using a resto staff, and it's possible.

hate to point this out but all this content has been nerfed massively since launch if you still cant do it maybe examine your build or playstyle before coming to the forums.
However i would not object to letting groups do the quests even though it would be weird story wise.
it would not solve the problems you will have with vet content though if you think molag bal is hard at his current difficulty.

My wife and I came from wow, but have played many mmos for years , my wife pretty much plays a healer class , I'm a hybrid healing/dps, .......so I get to the end of the story line and I have to take down the big man, and its a very hard fight , one I've not yet finished and I was saying to the wife how hard it is, she replies then how is she going to do it? being a totally healer class she has no idea how to dps , has never had a interest in being a dps or a tank , we also find out we cannot progress in the game until bol is taken down? So ESO what do the healers and the non combat player's do?
I thought a mmo was about being what ever I want to be, and yet here we have a mmo that you can but you will have to repec and re learn all new skills so you can do what you want your way, I can understand you want everyone to finish the story but what if we cannot??? we just get stuck at rank one and do nothing? we cannot even group up and do it , it seems really freaking silly

Yeah, you should be able to bring 1 friend, if not they're kind of taking the 2nd 'M' out of 'MMO'.

the more you fail it, the easier it becomes, its a mechanic built in.

however i solod it with a healer templar using only staff.

Well, first of all, I think that every player should have a build that is able to quest, even if they are a healer or tank. Who runs a group build when not in a group? All my tanks and healers have alternate builds.

But, Molag Bal is not a hard fight. All you have to do is light attack and block and move out of his aoe's. So just keep blocking/reflecting his stuff, shoot light attacks in between, move, etc. I've beat him 8 times on 8 different characters with 8 different builds. It's not hard once you get the routine down.

It only takes a few points in a different skill line to do decent DPS. and you can heal yourself. i think Bol is a test to see if playing for so long actually taught you something. apperantly you did everything while your wife sat by healing 100 points of damage every half an hour.

Seriously, you can kill molag bal with Healing Springs and bash. The army of Titans he summons is an entirely different thing - if you don't have solid AoE for them, you're dead.
I was doing it as a NB archer, with Expert Hunter active it took just about 5 Bombards to kill the whole army and deal with little Molag again.

you do realize all you had to do weas block and it reflected all their attacks back at them killing them in under a min .....

I have not played this game in a very long time. I left after the change to B2P. But "back in the day", I was able to easily kill the final boss with my healer sorc using just a healing staff, blink (or whatever that spell was called -- the one that teleported you a few feet ahead), and a self-heal. Just wear him down. Blink to avoid his attacks. Self-heal as necessary.

I took down Molag with my sorc - zap, zap, run, heal, repeat. Takes about 10 minutes. And be sure to block the titans and their spell balls with the resto staff.

    yep!
When he teleports right on top of you, you have time to get out of the paint, & time enough to give him a couple whacks before you have to run for your life.

& being a deadric prince he's apparently immune to every damn thing too, so none of my skills were any good, just a slugfest.
The combat replay of that battle would be very silly, with my sorcerer running running running running, and that angry grunting noise Molag Bal makes over and over trying to catch me.

Don't forget to bring a stack of soul gems, and maybe get yourself killed on the way to the final fight so it scales down!
