Seven alts!! Are you listening ZOS???

That's not ZoS ruining the game. That's OCD players. If you had a full stack of every crafting mat in the game you wouldn't need 7 alts for it all.

Having access to a guild bank completely changes the inventory situation as well, and seeing as player to player interaction is something that ZoS wants to encourage I doubt that this is a coincidence.

I didn't say ruin the game. I was actually appalled by 7 alts but in all honesty bag space is skimpy particularly for new players trying to sort their way through the game.

I also don't feel that 'play your way' coincides with needing to join 'up to' 5 guilds just to have bag space or to sell items.

Play your way doesn't mean you get to do everything just how you want and win the game. You can either do a few crafting professions and have easily manageable inventory or try to do them all and have to shuffle things around and micromanage your assets. If it was that easy to do all tradeskills than every other character would have them all maxed. You get enough skill points to do it and still have a good combat build.

1 Account, 1 character VR 4, no alts, 5 crafting professions including provisioning. 15 minutes of inventory management for 4 hours of play including deconstruct/sell/research/bank. I know one of the points of the limited inventory was to keep people from doing every crafting skill, but to be honest I'm almost there anyway with what I have. I think a reassessment of what people need to toss out needs to happen.

Here is a list of tips that may help some people out.

    Suggestions:
Provisioning: Wonderful add-on for provisioning is Sous Chef to show the ingredient level. If you have the recipe, throw mats away based on level.
Alchemy: only keep current crafting level water or higher.
Armor/Weapon crafts: Unless you are veteran level, prioritize your research by shortest first, not by what you need. This will clear inventory really fast over the course of a couple days.
Enchanting: If you are planning on doing enchanting later but not yet: Blues and Reds only.

Yeah, realized that and edited my post to actually be constructive and help people out. But you do have a point and I was just as guilty as anyone else since I didn't post actual solutions to the issue, is there now though.

Expanding on what this guy wrote, find other nine players with each player creating a separate guild.

Then you all have your own personal guild bank to store your items.

Interesting....that we should even have to consider jumping through hoops like this just for bag space/management?

In all honesty, in as much as I see these inventory-management threads, I'd absolutely LOVE to see what people have in their bank/inventory that's taking up so much space.

In my bank I have about 35-40 items that range from armor trait items and race crafting items. (all the things that 'all' my alts use for crafting)

I then have an alt for each craft to store the items used only by each craft. Including weapons and armor that will be researched. anything between 30 - 60 items at any one time.

I have an alt to hold all my treasure maps, disguise's and dungeon goodies. 50ish items currently.

At the end/beginning of play I empty my bank, except the 35-40 items I mentioned above by logging into each alt and taking the relevant items.

Only my main actually crafts, I do this by putting whatever craft items I need into the bank for the duration of the time I am crafting and then removing them again when I'm finished.

It's probably a long winded way of doing things but it's super efficient and leaves plenty of space.

So the bottom line is you're trying to be completely self sufficient in a game that is not designed to do so. This should take more work & more time. If that's the road you choose to take, you have to deal with the work that comes with it.

Catches-the-Sun - Argonian Templar - Master Smith, Provisioner, Chemist & Tailor
Valaren Arobone - Dunmer Flamewalker - Master Woodworker, Provisioner, Assassin
Kazahad - Khajiiti Arcane Archer - Master Thief
    V'orkten - Redguard Swordmaster
Finnvardr the Frenzied - Werewolf Berzerker

For me? It varies, usually 20-30, sometimes more after a long session, or when I need to do some alt shuffling.

Let me turn some peoples' arguments against them: You hardly need most of this stuff, as most people against more space have argued. Right? Inventory isn't a problem if you just get rid of stuff, since it's mostly not needed.

That argument actually illustrates why we *should* have more space. If we hardly need most of it, the best/smartest idea is to simply give us more of it. If there's not a huge benefit to storing everything, nobody should oppose it.

Then those of us who DO want it, can store it, and both parties can be happy. You can enjoy a small, efficient, clean inventory, and others can have a nice, packed, enjoyable one.
"It's morally wrong to suggest gameplay changes for an MMO."
...seriously, someone told me that once here. The things people will do to win their internet arguments!
