Time played:since Beta

Pros: launch day was exciting just for the fact it was a unknown world.

Cons: lag, way too many bugs, spam, bots, excitement faded fast, quests too repetitive, quests too straight forward (cross the street and buy beer and go back home), lack of content, too easy to progress and max out.

The future: VR12 zones will not keep me interested in this game, after reaching VR1 it feels like non stop pointless grinds. Gold doesn't have any more use, mastered crafts too fast.

I Rate it: 3/5 Doubt I'll have a sub past June 2014

    4 out of 5

I'v been playing since beta and despite the bugs, lag, spammers and bots I'm rather enjoying the game. I find the questing a breath of fresh air when compared to the usual ones found in other MMO's

The only thing I think should have been done differently are the veteran zones. Going through the other faction zones in my opinion is not the way they should have done them. I would rather enjoy the other faction zones by creating a character for that faction. I still could but if I have already been through them on my veteran character there is nothing new to see.

The introduction of VR12 I think is too soon. They should have just released Craglorn without increasing the veteran ranks and just have better VR10 rewards. Other than that I think its a great game.

If ZOS do not make the mistake most other companies have with their MMO's where they nerf classes based on feedback from PvP we will have no problems. When they nerf a class based on PvP it always ruins PvE, thus when they nerf a class it needs to be make to only affect PvP and leave PvE alone. GW 2 did it that way. They had different rules for each so when they made a change it did not affect PvE.

I'm still enjoying the game (I'd honestly give it a 4 stars out of 5), but let's just say the honeymoon period has worn off. I'll play another month at least, maybe more, and see where it goes.

It's too bad, this PvP had the potential to be the best in over a decade, but somehow even that is screwed up on most campaigns now.

Bots. Bots bots bots. I've never seen so many. I can deal with bugs, I know they are common in new games, so I'm not overly bothered by most of those. But jeeze the bots.

The community in game is a big issue for me. I expected more out of the people playing this game. This isn't Zeni's fault, I guess I've just outleveled a lot of this in RL, lol. Meaning: I'm getting too old to play with some people without getting extremely annoyed by them. I guess that's my own issue, but there it is.

Also, I was excited and found everything new and fresh for the first few weeks, but that wore off REALLY fast. I can't even say exactly why, but I just don't feel excited to play. Maybe this just has to do with long term MMO burn-out, the fact that there are MANY MMO options out there, and always new stuff coming. If this was one of only 2 or 3 to chose from, like back in 2001 or even 2004, then I would pick this game hands down.

I guess times, they are a changing, and MMO's just don't have the long term appeal they used to, for a lot of reasons, and it isn't even the companies fault. It's just the way things are now.

I would give it 4/5. To get a 5, it will need smoother animations and a more responsive UI (especially in combat), in addition to a lot of interface/storage improvements, especially in the crafting area.

Still, by no means a bad game, and I do feel it is worth subscribing to.

Too many bugs for a launch game, to many TES elements missing that could be there (like proper swimming animations for Argonian and a number of alchemy reagents that could be added for example), but the BIGGEST issue I have with this game is the *** poor Dev communication on these very forums.

    3/5.

Far too many bugs and this game is really unbalanced (and i dont mean only classes , the PvE content is a mess overall)

When this game finally get balanced and you can actually the quests without bugging out over and over , then it will be a 4/5.

I wonder if any developer in our lives will ever promise a lag-free experience again.

    2.5

Lag is game-breaking, and servers are a serious issue.

Both of which may never be fixed.

2/5 I'm VR6 and bored out of my mind now, can't even get alts - because I already went trough the majority of the quest for alternative faction. Logging now only to feed a horse.
    When started - easy 4/5 almost 5/5.
Bots, bugs, repetitiveness of the quests, very, very, very, very poor customer service, all this in sum - turned me away from the game.
Most likely canceling next month and moving to WildStar.

I honestly don't think i can realistically rate TESO this early in its life. For me to even give a tentative review, i'd really need the game to have been live for at least 6 months or so. There are obviously things ppl will like or dislike from the gate, but imo its just disingenuous to judge the whole too soon.

I liken it to judging if a person is gonna be a huge success or a big loser by examining them as an infant. You can't do it.

    I'm vr4

1-49 was so quick wasn't even funny and I fully completed each zone. vet ranks are a grind, don't mind, but gets boring quickly. No real end game content. Launch was more of a beta launch [plus there are still bugs], the bots are ridiculous. Customer Service? Does Zenimax even have this?

Simple things should have been implemented: ie, search function in guild stores [without me using an addon for], at least one open world pvp zone outside cyrid, separate banks on separate characters, being able to mail to self, few other things. I'm playing for now but not sure how much longer.

3/5 because despite all it's flaws, it keeps me wanting to log in. Though that might be also due to the fact that there's nothing else worthwhile out there, anyways. I'll call this my home till CU.

They appear to concentrate more on adjusting game play to deter botting which isn't really diminishing the problem, but hurting legitimate players. I know they said they are trying to balance it to not hurt players, but it's having ill effects.

Balancing is needed for certain classes... and it seems they are attempting to focus more on that than fixing some known bugs that are effecting game play.

Concerns that players bring to attention are given standard answers that it's working as intended or by design, without explaining more on what that design is.

The first time receiving a RP response from customer support was cute, but after that it's a bit annoying that in some cases it takes a long time to have issues rectified.

Auto banning system needs some serious work. I have not been effected, but some people have and I can imagine how frustrating that could be.

The world is well created and looks beautiful. Quests, although some are repetitious, are fun. Some story line quests can be difficult while soloing since some if that all of those don't allow a group to complete. A couple levels higher than the quest recommendation helps.

Crafting is fun, but does require a lot of different materials if you want to upgrade. Chance to break even if at 100% for tempering. I haven't experience this yet, but from player reports.

I know some people seem to have no issues with armor decay and repair bills. I avoid repairing as much as I can and use armor drops along the way, or craft new items. I do however think that repair costs for armor that I'm able to craft are excessive and although it's working as intended is something I really believe they should revisit.

Hope to see many improvements on the way.

I used to be at 4 but I would say 3.5 now and it will drop to 3 if they don't sort out the bots. Every patch they release brings new issues. I think Zenimax must be like the alcoholics of MMOs industry because every 2 steps forward they take, they make 3 backwards!

1 for the work the designers did. But most of the game is unfinished or broken, and while quests are well written, they often get completed for me by other players before I can place the item to call the boss or such. Or just don't work, mechanic wise. Bots make much of the game misery and immersion breaking. Don't need to go into everything, but we are still playing in alpha but paying for it.

That said, me and my hubby will continue to sub, but play through the game at a VERY slow pace, focusing on crafting and weekend low level questing. Hopefully that way the game will be fixed enough by the time we get all our characters out of the first main areas...

But its only been out a month so I expect bugs. If you think this game is bad I played NUMEROUS others that had known issues waiting to be fixed way longer than a month or 2.

The game has GREAT potential but I don't see it surviving very long. There is a complete lack of "endgame". Once I finish all 3 factions content Craglorn might be interesting but finding a decent guild in this game is next to impossible.

The only game I ever played that had a reasonable "endgame" was Rift and that was due to all the invasions but even that got old fast.

Lucky for me the games been out a little over a month and im only level 24 so the game MIGHT survive 6 months for me before it gets old.

There gonna need to spit out more content faster which we all know will never happen or find SOMETHING to do at the end of the game that scales with the constant power creep they will constantly add.

Yeah, I did open Beta - so I know, what I getting in to, reported couple of bugs there to, was contacted by GM via whisper within minutes to investigate further. My questions on forum for a newcomers where answered by member of community relation team as well, so yeah - I know what I getting in to.
As for the quest quality - how its different, from what I'm doing here and now at the VR content ?! Plus I really like the group finder there . . .
