Bug: Kicked for "spamming" when doing nothing

I was just kicked from the game for "spamming" (or so the error message said) when I haven't sent a single message of any sort to anyone since I logged in. Whatever was set up to catch actual spammers is now kicking random players from the game.

I have no idea what may have caused the error. I was just running toward a wayshrine when it happened, doing nothing in particular.

I'm getting frustrated with the game as it is, and there's only so much more I'm going to be willing to tolerate.

This happens during high latency. Just for info. Not from chatting, but things like interacting with items.

I think it has something to do with the incredible lag currently going on in the NA server. I believe it has something to do with the server seeing you pressing a specific key repeatedly and deciding you're spamming something. I was just kicked from the NA server myself because I was moving forward on my character.
I like a lot of things about this game, the tremendous customer service, fantastic server stability and bug-free skills/abilities are not some of those things. -_-

I wasn't interacting with anything. Like Anzer, I was just moving forward. That was all. If that's all it takes, this game is even more broken than I previously thought. Really, this is ridiculous.

Moving can also trigger it, as your movements are sent to megaserver and queued.

If players are being kicked randomly by the current system in place, flagging them as spammers for playing "as intended/as designed" (ZOS likes those terms)... this should be a top priority fix.

There are so many systems set up to catch the bots (The Bots have learned them all and already moved on to new things) That the system is just hitting normal people now. Get GM's in the started areas to knock out the teleporters as they are leaving dungeons alone, and please back off the Anti Bot efforts as more and more innocents get banned. I have personally helped four people get re-instated. Only one got an "official" response to why they were banned- the others were just re-instated. The Reason for the Ban- Their name looked to short while passing thru a dungeon.

Of course, I'm hoping the dev team recognizes this as a problem and does something about it before it gets out of hand. If the system is indeed flagging people as spammers when they get booted with this error (especially if we get kicked many times in one sitting because of all the lag on the NA server today), then I'm not sure what to say.

I put in a support ticket for this and just got a generic reply to file a bug from the CS rep, so who knows.

Had this happen the other day.
Figured it was because I was spamming left click on a ballista regardless of whether it was loaded or not, lol.

Yeah, I have had it happen on a lag spike, I assume all the key presses you have build up In the 10secs of lag all go through at once and the game thinks you are spamming.

I am actually quite surprised at how patient people are that have been wrongfully banned by the current system in place.
