    I agree with Daftpunk,

There is just nothing in this game that GOES "OMG THAT WAS AWESOME"

Its all kind of hoe hum. If the new content doesn't challenge and reward then the game is just so so and will be so so forever

And Angry joe isnt the only reviewer that gave this game a hoe hum mark

A guy named Angry Joe (the oracle) dictates the future of this game? Lol.

A guy that reviewed you couldnt craft until level10... I wished youtube to have a blacklist that moment.

PS: worst thing is I think his character was like level8 during the whole video.

I know for a fact that Wildstar will take almost all of the raiding community. The people who say this game is fine are living in a fan boy fantasy land or haven't hit max level yet. There is no end game content and they have no plans to fix their sad excuse for a loot system. Who cares about bots farming lvl 30 dungeons... There is no need to buy their gold when there is no decent endgame loot.
LOL i dont think wildstar will make a dent in any game community. WOW ripoff in space with a horrible graphic engine. looks like a bad disney cartoon

This is not true because Wildstar will offer raids. The raiding community will gravitate to the content.

ESO has some issues. No group parser. Dungeons that do not require tanks which means tank mitigation is not relevant. Way to much buff/nerf threads from garbage players that want a win handed to them. Etc.

I will support ESO because they are pay to play (a model I support) and I sunk 80 bucks into this. Regardless, this care bear mentality needs to be stomped out of existence. The whines and cry babies need to either learn to play or gtfo.

ESO has only been released for a few weeks. Give them time. Be fair.

Also, to make end game relevant they must add raids of 10 to 20 players. That is end game content.

I unsubed with about a dozen of my gaming buddies this past week and were all in the 35-40 year old range from EQ1, I hate to say ESO has an identity problem, is it a single player game were you just see folks running around or are you a MMO. How can you want social interaction with guild stores and try to bring community back but you nerf dungeons and make soloing the best way to level leaving no incentive to group till vet content.

Ill keep my eye on yea ESO, time to pull the boat out and do some fishing. ..

Same experience here. Friends are unsubbing cause there is really no group content in this game, other than PVP - prior to VR.

    Let me explain.

Prior to VR, in order to advance you character, you MUST quest 95% of the time, and do the handful of dungeons a single time. Why? Because you only get any real xp the first time you do them. After the first run, dungeon xp is essentially NIL.

But, says the fanboi, you can group for all the quest content prior to VR, just not the dungeons. Yes yes ... however, the quest content is tuned to 1 player: grouping to do it is utter faceroll and unfun. In any event, there are so many players doing questing (because they must), that when you reach a semi-challenging end boss to a quest there are already 3 players pounding on it. Again, faceroll and unfun.

My friends and I rolled our initial character with distinct roles in mind - healer, tank, dps. There is only 1 role to make in this game tho prior to VR - the role that solos quests the best. Hence, dps.

This decision to force all players down single player quest content is almost laughably bad for an MMO. Seriously, what are these devs thinking?

We can trifle about with the future as much as we want, but only time will tell what will happen to ESO. As I posted when I first joined the Forums on April 3'rd, "We create the future for ESO, so lets get it right." Discussions are fine, but don't put people down whilst doing so.

I call Godwin's Corollary!! Calls of F2P mean you lose!

That said, I tried Wildstar and while it's all shiny ( literally, it gave me a gorram headache ) and the game play and battle mechanics are more smooth and flowing than those of ESO, it just seemed ... vapid. Like it's trying to make for depth with silliness and Chua ( is that redundant? ) and being too cute by half.

Comparing the two is like comparing candied apples to steak, ESO being the red meat. Wildstar plays well but is totally a direct-line, on-rails theme park complete with funhouse mirrors and garish colors and sounds. ESO, while not the sandbox of other ES games, is much less of an on-rails experience and more a series of smaller sandboxes in level-ranked order. Each zone has a story to tell and I find that far more compelling than even a dancing Chua ( and I loooove me some dancing Chua!! ).

Not a blind, raving fangirl here, either. I've got issues with ESO. But to claim that the next new and shiny thing will be THE best EVAR thing because it's new and shiny is just silliness. We had an expression in the Navy: the two best commands are the one you are going to and the one you just left. I'm invested in ESO and hope the reasonable people who can enjoy the game for what it is, not what it isn't, will stay with me and we can have fun together.

Let the whiners whine, the rage-quitters quit and the ranters rant. Me, I'm gonna go enjoy this lovely game that ZOS has made for us. It's only gonna get better and I, for one, can't wait to see it.

Personally, the problems are well summarized in Tom's rip on ESO, I was surprised that review was not shared more often.

    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/the-elder-scrolls-online-review,3815.html#

It really got me when when he showed all the public dungeon maps side by side and they are pretty much the same. yeah, it is soooo lame.

For a mmo to succeed, you need communities, and communities can only flourish if you provide things people can enjoy together. ZOS seems to think that's not the issue and have spent little time on the contents people wish to play together (other then pvp I guess), and frankly took away some group tools (combat text comes in mind), implement crappy LFG tool, and practically did everything they can to prevent grouping play in PVE.

It was same as SWTOR's problem, and apparently they learned nothing there. Ultimately, you want something you can play with your friends over long period of time, and this isn't it.

Myself, my wife and two more couples have been having loads of fun playing TESO since launch and even with all the negative things people say, it just doesn't matter when it is so much fun! Yes they have bugs but they have been fixing them.

So I predict that we will still be playing this time next year and still having fun with all the additions they are planning. The only thing I am not sure about is if we will still be playing on our PC or will be playing on the XBOX One or PS4.

When a privately owned company doesn't brag about sales figures, they're gonna have a bad time.

Seriously though, if this game sold a metric ***-ton of units, or they had more than 500k subs, they'd be singing it from the mountain tops. This does not bode well for the future.

Edit: Mandatory edit. Angry Joe is the worst when he's "being angry". He's annoying, childish, and just echos the negative statements found abroad. However, his videos where he actually enjoys a game are quite well (except his screaming (drinking) episodes). This review was no exception. To top it off, he had to channel is inner Boogie(Francis) and turn to awful character acting (clarification: Boogie is an amazing character actor, Joe is not) to "review" this game. Once he started the character acting, I couldn't justify watching his "review" any longer.

Joe needs to start titling his videos "Angry Opinion" instead of "Angry Review". It was nothing but bias and towing the negative line.

okey lets just all agree we wanted this game to be "the game" i know i had insanely high hopes for this game, but the few things that makes me angry are.

1st. they have no endgame in the game and it kills players that rush content, i know several players that took 2 weeks off to play this game just to enjoy and get lost in this game for 2 whole weeks, but with no endgame content therse players have nothing to do and will get frustrated over the lack of endgame content.

2nd they dont talk to us "the players" at all, they have have no clue how gamebreaking it is to not give us the players information abourt simple stuff like soft and hard cap valvues, hits ,melee, spells, crit, crit damage, armor, spell resistance and so on and on and on, no information at all.

3rd they released it to early its clear for everyone that pushed the content that the game still was in beta, they had tons of bugs and exploits in beta that they did't fix, not to mention thet dropped any form of endgame content.

okey now that this is over lets have a talk abourt ESO, i for one have spend alot of time in the game, and i love the lore, i love the quests and that the quest are all voiced, its just like SWTOR, they did it, i mean they really did it, i had a great time lvling up, yes there where bugs but i could live with that but when i say level up im talking abourt level 1 to 50 that was great, going from vr1 to vr 10 that was something else, im a DK rank 10 so i had it easy, but the questing killed me in the end, i had some fun in the first 5 veteran zones so i was rank 5 at that time and thats when it got ugly, it was to much of the same, to many of the same quest doing it over and over and over againm it allmost killed me, and when i hit vr 6, i got fed up on it like so many others did, and this is where players start to find out that the VR content is just a filler for the lack of endgame content in ESO, hell they even killed the fun that some players have of making multiple alts for you have all ready done all the quest.

now dont get me wrong i spend 80$ on this game and its worth every penny, but i just wanted more from Zenimax, this is ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE FFS! but no there endgame or lack of it kills my commitment to this game.
I also loved SWTOR and leveling up in it was the best time iv ever have in any mmo, but again lack of endgame content, or in this case there endgame content was so buggy that it killed my commitment to there game in the end.

i tryed to play WoW at release and i tryed to get into the game multiple times but it was just not for me, i how ever did play rift from release and played it a 4 or 5 month after the hammerfall raid dungeon came out! that game was great when we talk abourt there raid dungeons, and i want more mmo's with hardcore raid dungeons in them, and this is what i hope craglorn will be i hope its a taste of the next raid dungeon and i hope they make the next raid a 24 man raid, 12 man raids are to small for hardcore raiders. And this is also why i think Wildstar have done something right with 20 man and 40 man raids, i will play wildstar for there raids alone, come on its 40 man raids!!! - they have to be hard, they just have to be, and this is what i think ESO need they need 24 man raids as a minium if they want to hold on to the more hardcore raiders. and the raids have to take a month to complete the first time, the harder they are the better they are for hardcore raiders.

anyway i, like so many other have a small hope that craglorn will turn ESO into the MMO is should be, and if that fails we will jump ship to Wildstar and try that out, and maybe come back in a few month times when more content have been released or maybe not, and this is the core of the problem or i think it is what most casual players dont get, casual players want it easy, no brainer faceroll easy (i see it like that as an Hardcore raider) and Raiders want it hard like bring the pain hard.
And a good MMO have room for both players, ESO so far dont have any room for Raiders, - so can Craglorn change this or will wildstar pull the raiders away from ESO?

I belong to what I think is the "silent majority". I waited for this game for a long time (and of course, to be honest, expected it to meet higher standards), I pre-ordered it and have played it since. Sometimes, I'm frustrated cause it's so buggy, sometimes I am pissed of cause I died in battle trying to swap weapons and it makes me think that it was released too early.
But, most of the time I have fun. Real fun. Cause -simply put- it's a good game. And with the bug fixes and the improvement in combat problems that are already on way it's going to become even better. At least, for me. So, if I didn't like the game, do you know what I would do? I would stop paying for it and try to find my precious fun somewhere else. Surely, I wouldn't stay around whining (This is not for those who actually like the game, but also critisize it in a healthy way).

I couldn't express it in a better way. I think I'll copy it and paste it in 90% of the discussions in this forum.

I am liking this community more and more, because of the lack of complainers just for the sake of yelling something I guess.

I normally use tomshardware for hardware tips, suggestions and reviews, which they have been very good at for many years.

This so called review of ESO must been made by a person who just not love World of Warcraft, but think every MMO must look and be like WoW.

Not ONCE did they mention any of the brilliant new features ESO have to offer.
Other then saying ESO PvP is a bad ripoff of Daoc. BAD?!?!?!

They where very fast on pointing out errors. Lets play that game with WoW shall we?
World of warcraft has been online for what, 10 years now? The past 5 MONTHS the game has been lagging, disconnecting, refused entry to raids etc. Mostly related to Blizzards new move to intergrate all their games into one "server" which is the wrong term, but one spot. Not even gonna start on the "free level 90 feature".

The article keeps mentioning all these horrible problems ESO has, when his obviously favorite game barely works. YES, ESO have problems but they are working with them. Where in the article can you find that info?

And he played to level 20. Oh yeah, then you know it all eh? And some comments are just plain wrong. "Questing is all single player related, where is Zenimax grouping experience, other then the 8 minutes instances in the game"

Not one word. NOT ONE, about the vast improvements, work and hell, even one of the biggest patch I've ever seen in any game, Patch 1.1 was mentioned. If the dude did not know or care, I don't know. But this review is trash.

I agree thought, that if a MMO should succeed, it has to have community options, groupings and guild tools. ALL which Zenimax are working on.

Also, has anyone noticed that quite a lot of the most common addons used in ESO, are in the works to be implemented in the game? Except that HORRIBLE map where to find all skyshard. I am probebly the only player in the game that hates that, because every time I find a skyshard, I get happy as a kid on christmas! I wount allow a software to do that work for me and take away that fun! No way. Then I rather miss some and so be it!

Also, most people who whine about leveling to slow, knows very little about MMO.

Everquest took 6 months I believe to get to the highest lvl, but once you where there, it was pretty damn certain that that person would stay and keep playing.

Also, ESO have what EQ had back then (We talking 15 years go), content for every level. The goal was never to get highest level then the game starts, Thats WoWs silly idea.

Its fun too see the General excuse for people making statements about missing end game content, are they are "WoW kiddies" ... you know what ? Stick it up where the sun dont shine, i never played WoW and never will.. But dont be in such big denial, that you dont know wth the majority here are talking about... The fact are what they are.. we are missing end game content, and if Craglorn doesnt fullfill that purpose, a lot of peope will be going.

These people will maybe come back later, or maybe not!

The thing is, all MMO's have both Casuals and hardcore player bases, and a good MMO caters too both sides of the hedge. So far ESO is great for anyone who doesnt play more than a couple of hours a day at most, and i think that is great. But some of us play games a lot more than that, and we want content.... The only information we got so far is that Craglorn is comming out.. I personally hope it will be a succes.

So a lot of people will argue they dont care that people who rushed content will leave the game and take on new challenges in other games, but fact is... All the great games ive played through the years had great community because ALL types of people was in the game, not just Casuals, or roleplayers, or hardcore raiders.. PVP'ers for that matter.

That a whole other deal.. What with this *** pvp? This is gonna be what we will all spend our time on? Hell no! Running from one keep to the other in a massive zerg fest... You have no impact on the pvp campaign as a single player, and you have no impact on a mass battle if your a really good player, who knows how to handle your class, where the hell is all these things, that makes you feel accomplished ? I havent for one found them.

One coordinated 24 man raidgroup can only do so much damage, against a zerg of 50 people, unless they are utterly stupid (yes they exist) But the majority of the time people can think and will overcome and smaller group, no matter how good they know there classes.

I would like too see a few thing implemented in this game.

    1: Duelling system

2: Total Rework of reward system in Dungeons its just *** now.

3: a LOT more group content (and different skill degrees)

    4: more fun based events
    - horse races, gambling with gold, id even love an elderscroll ingame chessgame... with achivements.. It could be other games than chess, but imagine what kind of ingame community you could make with these kind of things.
    -
5: MORE information about everything Stats, Caps, Releases, And so on.

6: Remove account names from Guildlists - Why can't we just use our nicks? what are the point of nicknames when you see accountnames all other places.....

7:Different types of PVP, 25vs25, 10vs10 or whatever.. Defend / attack keeps based on time trials Guild vs Guild style... how awesome would that be ?

8: Rework the fishing system, it is utterly useless for anything else than the 1 title and achivements.

Tbh i got a lot more ideas than this.. but the post is already long enough

If you read different forums and even here, You'll see a very wierd comment poping up: "I paid for this game so I have the right to raid and kill the hardest mob in the game (Or exchange it with anything they cant do on their own)

I have subscribed for 6 months and I am very happy to see Zenimax work.
Anarchy had no housing at launch. I played it at launch it was unplayable for weeks. But it was the first mmo to have housing. And some of the best social activies like amercan flag bikini dancing

Before I report this bug I would just want to make something very clear. I have quit gaming all together for about 2 years and came back just to play your game since it was a fresh twist to the MMO genre. I love the game and see its potential to compete with WOW /rift/ Ion etc... I pray it takes over since I love the idea behind it with the lore and community. Now that being said I would like to report and link you examples on how unbalanced PVP/PVE is at the with multiple videos that I took the time and edited just for this bug report. Now if you don't know already One hand and shield is completely over powered in PVP/PVE to the point where every class has a sword in shield. For a defensive build to put out so much damage with little cost to your resouces even though it a completely defensive build. Here is a video dedicated just to that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPoKHYhigII . Now moving forward the second and probably the worst of them all is the fact the Dragonknights & Socerers are the most over powered classes by far with no competition in your game. Its to the point if you play anything else your basically not knowlegable of the unfair advantage you have in PVP/PVE. It just seems that certain weapon abilities completely allow them to dominate since their class abilities compliment the other abilities perfectly, that it makes these calsses divine. Here are two examples of this via video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwyVaS_pd-s#t=10 now for the sorcerers broken builds here are 2 which I have personally ran into. Here is example one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aelUxq3zPU where the sorcerer basically made me feel like a *** for going nightblade for being such a useless class since I have no abilities to control or avoid his broken bolt rift stun/disorientate that allow him to proc instant cast of crystal fragments that not only does a ton of damage but also knocks me down/ or hits me with charge that does damage depending on the distant between me and him. Now here is the link to the 2nd broken build sorcerers are starting to build that allows them to sustain maxium defensive state while still doing crazy damage and recovering resources at the same time, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyZowGSoaWs . Now in the last video linked I was A VR10 with 3 legendary items and the rest of my gear was legendary while he was a VR3. All this being stated I would greatly appreciate if you could contact me through the game or email allowing me to know your team has taken the time to read my report and reviewed the videos I have spent the time to edit or source to you showing you these obvious inbalances in the game. Thank you I hope you guys are doing your best to fix these things cause people are getting impatient.

There are serious imbalances for sure. But its certain builds and gear set ups mainly light armor and magica abilites. Melee is completely usless aside from bashomatic. But i wouldnt say whole classes are Op its the synergy with gear sets and the resto /destro swapping.

I didn't like it either. Played it for like 30 minutes and had all I could take.

lol again its not about the time overall to level its the narrow path they provide....meaning quest grinding is basically it...and its not even fun questing is boring and tedious...You fanboys that keep replying saying ohhh you level to fast stop and enjoy the roses...

What are you 6 years old...most of us have played mmo's for a long time...questing isn't a accomplishment as much as u fanboys/narrow minded self entitled morons think...

so your idea of a mmo is running in a big circle hitting everything as soon as it spawns? you are mad because you cant run in a circle and level or just afk and let your group work for you...wow im sure that's great fun and all but content is what the game is about not power leveling.
