NA Server .... I'm stuck in an endless loop of Downloading patch and Verify files.

I download the patch.
Then Error "Can not download manifest"
I hit the repair and it verifies the files then at 0.00 MB remaining it crashes
" Program Not Responding "
So I restart the launcher and it starts to download the update again...
This has happened 4 times now ...

Please help.

    Greetings,

You may want to try using the 'Repair' under the 'Game Options'.

    Hi @Zanbarbone,

Did you try to disable your antivirus and firewall temporarily during this update?
We also would like to invite you to open your Launcher as administrator.

Feel free to tell us if your issue persists.

By the 2nd try I disabled my anti-virus and firewall ... and my launcher is constantly run as admin ... still did not work ... I can bypass the launcher and run the game direct from the Client folder.

My problem is it won't stop the DL/Verify Files endless loop.

This might sound awfully boring, i would suggest you to download the whole client again, i know i know boring at it seems but at least then you know its something wrong with your pc settings if it continues

I actually left a post somewhere here about that. I had that A LOT while on a camping site and eventually figured out this error comes up when you have no or nearly no internet connection. In my case i had a initial response that was above 1k MS which triggered this error. Manifest error only occured when i was connected by WiFi but still had to open up a browser once to get through one of those public wifi portal spot thingies...

You can test this by filling your LAN card with illegal settings (e.g. valid config but a bad gateway for example) and launching the game. It will 50/50 offer you repair options (endless) and mostly will just tell you your manifest is toast.

It happened to me once, until I realised steam was sucking everything it could to update some games :).
"In 2014, a possible bot was sent to coldharbour by a military GM for a crime she didn't commit. This argonian promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Ebonheart underground. Today, still wanted by the developers she survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a bot problem, if no one else can bite you, and if you can find her....maybe you can hire The SQUISHY."

This is still a problem ... I am and always have been hard wired to my modem.
I can't tell you how many times I have restarted my computer and did a virus scan then disabled the scanner. I also have nothing downloading in the background. This has been going on since the latest patch...
    Any more ideas ?

I had this happening to me today. Download stopped at 99%. I hit pause and then continued, patch was downloaded and applied and then began downloading again. I'm not entirely sure if it really was the same patch, but i eventually made it through, finishing at 264%. So instead of repair, try pausing and resuming, it worked for me.

    Greetings folks,

Can you please make sure to try the following:
    • Start windows in safe mode with networking
    • Make sure to run both the launcher and the game as a admin and in compatibility mode for Windows XP-SP3 (the game file is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\ESO.exe):
      • Right-click the file and select Properties at the bottom of the list.
      • Once the Properties window is open, select the Compatibility tab.
      • Select the option to “Run this program in compatibility mode” and from the drop-down menu, select “Windows XP SP3” (it may say Service Pack 3).
      • Select the option “Always run this program as an Administrator” For ease of use, right-click the eso.exe file and select “Send To…”
      • From the subsequent slide-out menu, select “Desktop (Create Shortcut)”. This will allow you a very easy, quick way of opening a game running in compatibility mode.
    • Include an exception for the ESO.exe file (located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\) and the launcher to your anti-virus software and your fire-wall.
    • Start the launcher, and let the download run until the end. Once the download is complete, run the repair function.
