Character Will Not Attack

Hey, might have already been done to death but I do not see a thread with a quick search. My Nightblade will suddenly stop making any attack moves in the middle of a fight. if I hit the ESC key and then resume game I am fine but that is a lot of time wasted in the middle of combat.

Is this a known issue and is there a fix?

Yes this bug exists since beta but unfortunately the only workaround i know of is double [ESC], double [.], double or anything else that releases the mouse cursor.

That used to happen on my templar if i tried to use reflective light without a target it would sometimes cause me not to be able to use abilities until i press ALT.

Yes I have noticed this and it is not just the Nightblade all my classes do it though the NB is the worst of the bunch.

Right now the fix is the ESC key I guess...

Yes, this is a known (if you're a nightblade) issue. My ability bar usually locks up when I am surrounded by multiple mobs. The first time it happened to me in Cyrodiil, I thought it was due to some kind of CC, but nope - just a bug that I get to watch myself being pummeled and not be able to do anything about it. Happens in dungeons too.

ditto...
happens to all characters, all types, all servers...
using some abilities without valid target causes combat system to get 'stuck'...
prevents use of ANY abilities (except movement)
ESC then all is good...
but this issue has killed me more than once and
happens a couple times per play session... grrrr $:\$

Happens to me all the effin time on my Nightblade. Combined with a fair amount of other glitches, can make playing a NB a bit of a ***

I have this issue as well on my Nightblade, i can block but i can`t do jack all else, it`s been like this since release, hopefully it will get sorted soon

Oh wow, you too?! This happens on my Templar. So apparently it isn't just a Nightblade. What sucks too is sometimes when I zone in or out of a dungeon, it weapon swaps for me. If there are mobs outside the dungeon when I emerge and I'm suddenly on my healing bar, it really sucks. lol

Having it happen a lot more recently (level 41), not sure if it relates to skills or passives I now have (Nightblade).

I ditched flurry because of this. NB still seems lock up more than other classes but it's not nearly as bad since ditching it.

This never happened to any of my toons until I reinstalled the game after patch 1.0.6. I had to uninstall and reinstall because I could not get past the character screen. After that reinstall I started having this freezing in combat bug on ALL of my classes.

I had this happen to me on 5/9 Friday night while helping a guildie in Elden Hollow. WASD movement keys worked, but 1-5 abilities were unresponsive (I was not stunned) I had to block and run around until it came unglued. So, it's still out there.

This randomly happens to me on any of the four classes, more since 1.0.6 than before. Not stunned and not lagged. I toggle bags open/closed to clear it, but it is frustrating.
