Do I need to have money on my credit card to use the starting free 30 days?

Hi, new player here, just bought the game couple of days ago and today I finally downloaded the game ( yeah *** download speed ) I see that some people is getting charged twice and stuff, but I dont see that much of people that actually cant pay at all, my question is this, like I said just bought the game, downloaded it for first time and as you know you need to have a subscription, tried to add one but when I try to "pay" with paypal it says 14.99 $ and you know the payment error that is happeniong, so my question is that, do I need the money IN THIS MOMENT to add a subscription? I know that I get charged at the end of the 30 days, but not sure if It requires to have money on the credit card in this moment to add the subscription, cause I dont have the 15$ in this moment, just making sure I'm not getting error because of money but just system failure, thanks

Yes, you do. They put a hold on it. They say it's for security and anti-botter and whatnot but I don't see any way that's actually helping matters right now.

If it makes you feel any better that decision looks like it's coming back to bite them in the posterior dimension now as they double charge a bunch of people, so hopefully they'll change that sooner rather than later.

I know exactly how you feel, I got hit with the same thing myself. I highly recommend getting a gamecard from Amazon or other online retailer instead of trusting your credit card info with ZOS as many people are getting double-billed AND locked out of their accounts right now.

Ye looks like I will buy a gamecard from Amazon, I didnt want to because I'm still not sure if I will like the game, I'm a big fan of the series but If I pay for the 60 days game card from Amazon ( looks like only 60 days are available ) and I dont like the game that money will be wasted

There's this note on your original post now:

"We have contacted our Customer support team to help you solve your issue."

They should contact you. Request a key for free 30 days, they should give you one. Note the customer service isn't the best, they may be confused about your request or take some time to do it.
