Help! Main Story Quest: Shadow of Sancre Tor

Hello!

I'm in a trouble... in the Quest Shadow of Sancre Tor. I have to defeat Mannimarco but I'm not powerfull enough for him, them I want to abandon the quest for another moment. But I can't!!
Is no way to leave the map to get back to Tamriel... The doors are locked and there isn't a portal.

What can I do? I really can't defeat him and my armor already lost a lot of durability...

Just quit the game normally and when you relog you'll be at the Harborage. Or, bring your map up, right click until you see Tamriel, and choose your Wayshrine. You should be able to get out.

I tried but dosen't work T_T

This sadly happened to me, but I had beat him. I had to abandon the quest, but you said you cant? Now that is a real stick in the craw.
Have you tried leaving by map? IE Paying to port out?
Or maybe you need to have a guild mate or friend group you so you can jump to them, then try to cancel the quest, or come back later....

the first time i've defeated mannimarco, but the quest could not go foward.
quit the game and luncher (you must wait 15' offline).
the second time i was outside the harborage with the quest resetted.
i've redone the quest, defeated mannimarco alone with my summons, becouse the follower where remain outside, but even this time the quest is broken.

you had those problem long time ago, so will never be fixed. but i will like to know if there is a way to go foward the quest or some kind of fix.

If we're understanding this correctly, you completed the quest without Lyris, Sai, and the Prophet at your side? That is quite an interesting bug.

Which quest step do you happen to be stuck on for this quest?

the step was defeat mannimarco, that once killed, the quest track was till say defeat mannimarco.

i've done for the 3th time and this worked, but i've take this precautions:
- i've disabled few addons related to advanced filters
- enter the vault without summons (i use both that i casted once entered)
- wait to loot mannimarco once killed.
the quest this time was ended with the right mannimarco spirit animation.

the first time i killed mannimarco, Sai wansn't there, and the second none of the compaign. the 3th time, the good one, sai, lyria and abnur where follow me correctly.

the fight with 2 summons, plus the atronach, plus elixir of spell power, wasn't so hard, but have in mind i've done at level 48, with full warlock and full seducer set, thief mundus stone, with destructive cfrag and mage furys combo.

the vault has lot of collision problem, but i will investigate properly the loot problem (the first 2 time i've looted mannimarco in a second) and the use of the summoned pet that can cause the compaing does not follow you.

My party of Sai et al. stood on the stairs where we entered the final scene with Mannimarco the first time I fought him (and was defeated). I thought it was a solo fight and thought nothing of it. The second time (after changing builds a bit) to face him again, the party joined me and we defeated him without problem. I even looted a potion and some gold from him. However, the quest failed to update and I'm still seeing "Defeat Mannimarco" on my quest tracker. The female party member is stuck in the floor, so wonder if that might be the problem?
Update: I just logged in and found my character outside the Harborage and the quest tracker says I'm to enter the portal again. This wasn't quite the help I was looking for.

When I did this quest last week just after the 1.5.5 update, it was highly bugged as well. However, I was still able to beat him on the first play through, but like Cosmo's one playthrough, Sai, Lyris and The Prophet were no where to be found, but at the end, they were underground with their heads barely sticking out.
The ghosts that Mannimarco spawned were about 40-50 of them at one spot at a time. They would just keep coming out of the portal like clowns coming out of a clown-car.

Many other people are reporting a lot of bugs with this quest.

Just keep an eye on the fight with Molag Bal, as it may be bugged as well.
