I'm now a sub and I still get loading screens that never end and quests that are broken to where you have to log out and then back in to hope it works. Fed up with this, what have you been doing all this time through alpha and beta? Why does every interior look almost the same and again what have you been doing all this time? Cancelling after this first paid month if things don't change. Thanks /rantoff

Just takes a little time man to fix things. As a programmer myself - games are massively more complex today than they ever were. Just like websites and well just about everything else out there. From the end users perspective it all look simple.

A few tweaks here and a few tweaks there should fix it right?

Well no, it doesn't quite work like that, one change can cause several other issues that were not expected. The code isn't written by one person, its written by many and all of it has to work together without issue - which is very difficult when there are millions of lines.

All complex games today will ship with bugs - I can't think of one game that hasn't in the last few years.

Ref Alpha/Beta - I don't think you could even fathom the amount of time it would take an in house beta test to iron out every bug. People do things in game that the developers never even thought about, it is hard for developers to come up with every possible use case and test it.

It takes far less time and is far more productive to have 100k or Million people report all the bugs. The alternative is waiting many more years for games - by which time you would the complain about the game not being technologically up to scratch.

    A piece of advice?

Don't buy brand new (complex) games.

Funny you should mention that, I've often wondered whether the dreary, tried and tested method of beta testing has become more of a 'try before you buy' exercise, rather than a period of time when people are incentivised to provide quality feedback. I mean, if companies were to offer something in return for regular feedback/bug reporting to testers (or some iteration of it) they would probably be able to produce better quality games that require a little less back-tracking after launch.

Then again, I may have just over-simplified a very complex problem .. so I'll go back to my beer :expressionless:

If your load screens are super long then your computers hard drive is slow. Not Zenimax's fault.
The beginning of the words is ALMSIVI. I give you this as Vivec.
    Almalexia, Sotha Sil, and Vivec.

    Where does this come from?

I am fairly certain that some of the loading screens are filler while the server creates an instance for the player to be in.

People expect everything to be fix in a mmo in a month guess people are new to mmos or have played small ones or ones that have been around a while.

First few months of most new mmos is bug fixing and the like.5

I've another piece of advice. Fix the damn bugs that were reported months before release before releasing the game. Yet here I am, wherever i wander, random voices from various other parts of the game booming out every few seconds.

No, it is not hard drive related. It is a problem with certain areas of the game.

Exactly, my loading times are like 2 a 3 secs on my Mac. And then some random moments it's taking 5 minutes or at least long enough to forcequit and reload. And it takes 2 3 sec again

You have no idea what you're talking about.
