Superfluous use of the English language doesn't make you sound intelligent nor does it validate your point(s). Selling in-game gold is a horrifying concept used by the worst games. Bots will not go away because of it, either. They will just make sure their product is slightly cheaper than Zeni's version. They will still farm and make their own gold, duh.

Furthermore, once that happens, people will be even MORE inclined to buy gold from the horrible farmers because they won't be cheating. They will be buying gold like those who buy it from Zeni, just from a competitor who is violating TOS and possibly the law.

And Nazon Kattis, bots exist in games with AH. So do farmers. And your last sentence? See my first sentence and add "and white knighting won't get you laid"

Problem with making gold available for purchase is that the gold sellers can underbid ZOS as they are not afraid of damaging the economy.

ESO is also an pretty strong invite to gold sellers having huge gold sinks in the start of the game.

Game need automatic system who disable accounts who does obvious bot things like level 3 in coldharbor, not changing drops.
Search for bot behavior and then kill, next make the search program more like an spam filter, looking for bot behavior, stuff like grinding 24/7, giving all gold or items to another player and this is the only interaction with other players is an pretty good clue. Running the exact same patterns as 100 other bots is another. both is an 99.99% bot chance and account disabled.

Yes the bot makers will try to figure ways around this like doing random actions
You do the same, you don't kill all the bots each swipe and you put random timers from caught to account disabled to make it hard to guess how they got caught.
Use GM and reports to find new bot patterns.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

No, I completely disagree with this.

If ZOS were to sell gold to purely combat RWT, they'd be doing it themselves. Not only this but for all the people who worked hard for their cash would feel ripped off that a rich kid with rich parents could have double what he has just for being rich.

Your advantages do not work in our favour. ZOS gets more income, how does this appeal to the audience and the consumer? Whenever ZOS makes a change in-game, they have to think of the effect that it will have on the players who give them their paychecks. They can't afford to lose players by adding a system that allows people to pay to win. You say that this would increase the amount of content implemented... but think about it - we already have whiners about the two maintenance days and we're only a month in - imagine the chaos if they not only allowed P2W but also added an extra day/made the maintenance longer each time.

And is content that can be done much faster even a good thing? The way you're seeing this in my opinion is like WoW. People on WoW skip dialogue because it hinders their leveling progress and most completely ignore the beauty of the game - I myself included. I came to ESO and I was hooked on the lore immediately because it was not an inconvenience.

Everyone over there wants to be the best - they want to be the first to 90, they want to be a gladiator in PvP, they want to have heroic/mythic gear. They don't care about the journey, they just want the end-game for them to sit down and realise 'Damn, I have nothing to do anymore.'

So no, I disagree completely. This game is not meant to be run through to the end game. There is hardly even an endgame... People are encouraged to go at their own pace and read up on the content.

    That's the magic of ESO.

And yes, if ZOS sold gold, I would probably quit. It would ruin the experience for me.

    LOL

And thou wondereth why thei ... ah screw it
And you wonder why its so easy?
Nice, now how big chance is it for the bot to also send your password to them?

If bot programs are out in the open the game client has to search for the bot and kill accounts who run it.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

RECOMMENDATION: ZoS should forthwith make gold available for purchase.

Your title states your thread is not a recommendation, yet the basis for your thread is clearly a recommendation. I think what you wanted to say instead of recommendation is, "Possible Course of Action:"

OK, I'm done picking nits. Sorry. Now, as for the idea, yes, I completely and wholeheartedly agree.

As long as a game motivates players to bypass lengthy grinding by tossing a few real world dollars at it, yet does not officially provide such a service, there will be gold sellers.

At first I couldn't understand why anyone would buy gold in ESO, and in fact at first there wasn't much reason. Why pay money to facilitate a faster journey to the end of a game which has no endgame? If the game is the journey, skipping that journey is skipping the game itself. Nobody is going to pay money to not play a game.

The announcement of Craghorn heralded not only an endgame, but an endgame with extreme challenges with shiny prizes and great notoriety for those that complete it the fastest. It's like 2 entirely separate entities created the content for 2 entirely different games. You have this very slow and immersive lengthy leveling process that encourages players to take their time leveling unique characters that match their style of play, only to throw on an endgame that discourages all but the most optimal of builds and rewards speed above all else.

Instant motivation for people to buy gold. However, if the game officially sells gold to players in order to head off the gold sellers and curtail their nefarious practices, the game will be nothing more than another pay to win MMO I want no part of.
