Ability to set online status at character select screen.

Hello I'm not sure if this has been brought up elsewhere as most of the similar topics were about after you are fully logged in.

My question is this is there ANY way to set the online status BEFORE you are fully logged in? At the character select screen for example.

I ask because i know there are times where they are not in the mood to be very social and just want to solo play for a bit. I know that AFTER you are fully logged in and have had the system message saying you are online gets sent to your online contacts. But unfortunately there are times where someone intends to log on and just spend time playing alone without seeming to he rude by logging in THEN go invisible and they get a message from at least one or two people the moment their character loads. Meaning they'd have to stay visible longer so they can reply or ignore them. The longer they stay visible the more people are likely to message them. Depending on the persons mood this may lead to them becoming in an even worse mood, and possible make them want to log out log out.. If there were someway to tell the game to go "offline".at the character select screen would eliminate this scenario as the player wouldn't send the "player x is online" system message in the first place.

Like i said i don't know if it has been brought up already or not but if there is any light someone can share on this would be wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to read this and i look forward to hearing from anyone with ZO or Bethesda in regards to it

    I like this idea.
Indeed, there is no reason for a game to force your behaviour ... specifically, no reason for ESO to force you to be more social than you feel comfortable with.

+1 for invisible mode on login !

Opinions are like buttholes : Everybody has one, and they usually stink.

    3 things to reduce stamina/magicka imbalance :
    - Use magicka to block abilities costing magicka, instead of stamina.
    - Add % damage reduction to heavy armor.
    - Add block penetration to 2H.

Indeed. It would be lovely to be able to have some me time every now and then, and i'm sure others would agree.

It was mentioned during beta that their would be such an option to hide status from guild. But I guess it was one of the features drop for launch.

Before I log out, whether I've been playing alone or playing with friend, I set my online status to "offline". That way, the next time I log in, the default will be "offline" and I can choose to show myself as "online" if I want to be social.

This is how I handle it also.

I'm just glad they give you the option to be invisible. Blizzard doesn't do that.
Please LOL my comments. I'm an aspiring comedian.

God forbid that they actually make you play an MMO with other people, how dare they?
