Daedra hearts, just can't finde one

I don't get it.... from early access until now, (VR3) I somehow got only 2 of them. I got every other racial style materials, in large amounts, even ancient elf, barbaric and so on (and I did not buy them), except those damn hearts. I was focusing my killing lately towards deadric npcs, from coldharbour till vr maps, dungeons or dolmens... but no luck. Not a single daedric style weapon/armor drop nor heart. Where to get one? Am I just THAT unlucky or there is more to it than meets my eye?
I was wondering how did all those bots/sellers farm them in such a large amounts to supply the "black" market? That means that Im just incompetent player and cant find them or very unlucky ***.
On the other hand, if it is that hard to find them, i think ZOS should consider changing this just a bit, more like tweaking. Either increase slightly daedric drops in certain areas like dolmens so that i can deconstruct them or slightly increase hearts drop rate, again, in some specific areas/instances. After all, you can maybe sell those rarer materials at some vendor(s) (who is located in a kilometer long dungeon, with a enormous amounts of monsters with a "big sticks" and you need a team of one million people to do this, and you shall not pass and so on), just increase some chance to find them.
Now, to get to the bottom of my discussion.
I crafted master deadric bow for VR2, and it looks so sexy, I just dont want to replace it for other master VR3 bow... a few hearts is all i need (7 exactly, you figure it out), but there is not a chance to find one. So... where, when, how, why, have to, find?

They are quite rare now, droprate for them got tweaked? same as for Motifs, even Daedric Style items wont drop anymore (or i am just blind maybe).

But probably you are just as unlucky with Daedric hearts as i am with Ancient Elves Motif Book or Palladium for it

Shouldn't they be rare full stop, we have an over assumption that items should drop everytime we decon.

I would say you're just unlucky tbh, I have maybe 25+ but found that the level 50 stuff was very generous when I was questing in Cold Harbour.

I got paladium every now and then, Im even wearing full ancient elf armor. Seems like im just very unlucky with hearts. Maybe someone know where is the higher chance of droping some?

Why dont you just buy them. at vr3 i dont think you lack gold...

I also had problems finding Daedra Hearts. Got only during leveling to vr10 (all quest deeds are complete, all looted items are deconstructed unless I am certain they are not rare style). I ended up with about 150 argentum (primal), 50 copper (barbaric), 40 palladium (ancient elf, used most of them as I wear crafted ancient elf armour sets since vr2) and only 6 daedra hearts (daedric). No complains since I don't really like that style anyway, but I do find it curious.

After Lupinemw reply I start to remember that I had 5 daedra hearts in my bank after Coldharbour and all the following vr1-vr10 areas only gave me one more heart. Probably Coldharbour is the place to visit

I found four hearts killing Daedra in a specific area....I believe it was in Coldharbour but I don't remember exactly what spot it was in. I do remember thinking "wow, four hearts from kill drops!"

I'll have to see if I can remember where it was!

I don't lack gold, and yes I can buy it, but Im avoiding it as much as i can. You can say Im fan of "do it yourself". My personal kind of philosophy I dont like being served because I don't find it interesting enough. I like to enjoy in the fruits of my labor and challenge.
Even If I would buy it, it would be only one or two and only if I need it so badly. Its much slower process but I like it that way. I hope you understand me
Regarding dropping locations, I see no alternative but visit coldharbour again

I am level 23..... I have two. One daedric weapon drop (I dont know how the hell I got that) and a hireling drop off. This is a suspicion but I wonder if they are trying draw out the duped items. If they are hard to find now then the duped items should pop up in guild stores at high prices in mass quantities.

I have quite a few of them, in the twenties, I get them every so often from my hirelings, it would make up for the lack of Tomatoes from my Provisioning Hireling, if I had the Daedric Motif.

If you race through Cadwell's Silver the third Alliance should be the best place to find daedric hearts.

When you hit the VR6 zones, they start dropping.

Makes sense, you get the Daedric Motifs dropping from the VR6 area's onwards.

If you're AD, you'll get to Glenumbra about that time. Go to the bank Daggerfall. I can loot a couple every pass.

I have about 60 of these things. I get them mostly from Deconstruction. I think I have found less than 10 as loot.

Perhaps I should sell some, might be able to buy a bank upgrade to store the rest in. Someday I will get that Daedric Motif. Or the Primal. Or the Ancient Elf. Or the Imperial

I have 140 something. Almost all from hirelings. 20 came from a guy selling them in zone chat for 1k.

Never buy daedra hearts.

When I was a motif farmer, I was getting 50 daedra hearts an hour by doing nothing special. They are not rare. People just think that they are because they can only be found in V6+ zones. I've NPCed over 10 stacks of hearts because they are worthless like all the other motif materials.

If you actually need the hearts to make armor, just ask in your guilds. Tons of people motif farmed, and they will have stacks of hearts. They can give you 10 for free, no problem.

Yeah - I've seen quite a few new console players who've purchased the motifs in the Crown Store, not knowing that they can't make any of the gear right away unless they obtain them from veteran players.

I'd managed, over the course of my pre-vet leveling, to find a couple in heavy sacks, a few from deconning gear looted in Coldharbour, as well as my hirelings. Oh...and a few in my guild bank.

You cannot loot them on a consistent basis until you're in Cadwell's Gold (Vet6-10 zones). However, as mentioned above, you can find them from guildmates who have and are willing to share, or purchase them in guild stores.

I wish ZOS would put some kind of disclaimer on the motifs in the Crown Store to let people know that they won't be able to automatically make any of the gear unless they manage to get ahold of the style materials. Maybe say something like - rare style stones needed in order to craft. I dunno.

I like this idea, however.

For anyone not new to MMOs, it should be pretty self-explanatory that the higher quality an item or recipe is, the higher quality item(s) you'll need, which in turn generally means they're rare and will require some grinding or a lot of gold.

For this reason, though I want the motif, I've held off on spending my crowns on buying any of the Epic/Master quality motifs until at higher VR levels and able to consistently farm or afford them from third party sources, such as guild stores, players, etc.

At any rate, some sort of disclaimer or short description of the necessary materials needed would help prevent a lot of hurt feelings.

Any dwemer ruin with alot of jars, might also pick up a motif page while your there.

Yeah, and you'll also be able to find the style material to make it, though you'll have to be level 9 in the appropriate crafting passive in order to read the pages and learn them.

I'm with you.Why should we buy the motif in the crown store,then find out that we cant craft anything. While I may not be a newbie(been in since first betas),I hadnt a clue about this and the fact that you need to be VR6 to craft the armor.
btw,..How did you get the hearts to make the bow,and can you post a photo of it? I'd like to see it!

they are so easy to find in Cadwells Gold, at VR3 I think your still in Cadwells Silver? Finish that and move onto Gold then you'll find them a lot, in bags and cupboards etc in houses

Yeh, at gold they are everywhere. I constantly have a stack of 15 in my bank for myself and have sold over 50. I'm only on the second area as well

Yep, this is definitely true. Now in Greenshade, I'm finding Palladium and Daedric Hearts more frequently than I am Copper or Argentum. I was able to craft three full sets for guild members and still have at least 2 or 3 left.

You're kind of SOL until you hit your Gold area. They're extremely rare until then. But very easy to farm once you get there. Hit up some Dwemer ruins and loot all urns once you get to your Gold area. The most effective way to farm for these and other style materials is farming these ruins, which have a 1-hour, character-unique cooldown from the time you leave the instance until all the urns replenish. If you want the highest amount of containers possible, wait the hour.
