Health Bar Bug

This started happening maybe a few hours ago, at most, but my health bar no longer appears during combat. I've been running around thinking I'm invincible until the notification "You can't do that while dead" pops up and I just fall over, which is the only indication I get that I've been taking any damage. I don't know why this just decided to bug-out. Anyone else having this problem?
**Edit: I just ate food that increases health and my health bar reappeared, fully functional during combat. I switched it to another consumable and my health bar once again disappeared so I have no sense of my health meter.
