Pff... Ultima Online was next to last in the Ultima Series timeline. I "met" Lord British in Ultima V circa 1990. UO is hardly the game that comes to mind when I think of him. /pedantic

It's a press release written by someone else. So um... "Good for you"? People know him from different things. UO is the most recent, popular thing. Being nit-picky over it is useless and silly.

IDK, he's just another human carbon based lifeform. I read an interview with him awhile back where he was saying gem store iPad games were the next big thing for the gaming world. As a PC gamer I took great offense.
