Vampires will be compensated with a pulse.

/place 2 fingers on lower side of wrist.
Congrats Mr Vampire, you are cured. Now go be a WW or, ignore the novelty line altogether ;)

Reset... Hahahaha... Werewolf ultimate is so broken you break the entire skill line if you accidentally morphed to pack leader. And vampires want a reset just becuse their super op specs got nerfed? Ha! What a joke.

The changes are good this doesn't mean they cant delve deeper however. As I said the fire damage is static wich is bad design and stage 1 to 4 only has advantage wich is ALSO bad design

If they reduced fire damage taken at stage one and double the final fire damage at stage 4 wed have a feeling similar to the vampire in skyrim and oblivion and a serious reason to consider feeding.

    to resume

    ST1: 25% fire weakness -0% reduction 25% cold resist
    ST2: 50% fire weakness -25% reduction 50% cold resist -7% cost
    ST3: 75% fire weakness -50% reduction 75% cold resist -14% cost
ST4: 100% fire weakness -75% reduction 100% cold resist -21% cost attacked on sight by guard (justice system)

Why cold resistance: Basicaly in elder scroll lore vampire gain resistance to cold as they advance in stage... very few enemies in the game use cold damage save for mages and wraith and as such it will have little to no impact and will remain mostly a rp flavor of vampirism

Why increased and decreased fire weakness: Fire weakness as it is has no impact on feeding and as such choosing to forego feeding is the same to a vamp as going power mode as there are no true drawback. By increasing the fire weakness in stage four and reducing it in stage one in conjunction with increasing cold resistance you create a balance of power wich force the player to constantly choose between letting the stage advance to the risk of making a content near impossible or feeding to make the challenge easyer at the cost of weakening their power. Fire weakness becomes the mechanics wich will force vampire to take a choice when to feed or not.

Why attacked on sight at stage 4: vampirism becomes truly apparent at stage 4 as such its normal that NPC will take notice and react accordingly... if you want to have contact with people in town you need to look human in the first place.

Those are the kind of compensation id be asking for... of course not witheout a cost, this would make vampirism dynamic and interesting again while giving it specific weak point wich force the player to keep on alert with its feeding stage. Nothing overpowered in that just a small rework of the passives

Benefits/disadvantage are you seriously saying one should gimp himself for no compensation? I think your logics are off.

I can understand why you think that, but as I said, Vampires were overpowered and this was just bringing them back into line with everyone else.

Vamps might have been OP under certain conditions in PvP but the current nerf hit not only those that were exploiting but the legitimate players.

Currently in PvE you take 50% more fire dmg, you have -75% health regen and nothing to compensate for this.

In PvP I can bet it's even worse - on top of the negatives from above you are also easy pray for those specced in to the Fighters guild abilities.

The way it should be is that when you choose to be vamp you get something and you lose something equal. What option is that which dumps your character and makes it completely not viable?

    Nothing to compensate?

    -10% Faster Magicka recovery
    -10% Faster Stamina recovery
-Below 50% HP, gain damage mitigation that can go up to 50% depending on HP loss. Stacks with other damage mitigation.
    -Faster Sneak Speed

Not to mention a powerful ultimate and one of the best defensive abilities in the game in Mist Form.

The Vampire skill line was never intended to solve every encounter or be the best at everything. Now it's in a spot that when combined with class abilities (remember those? They're the things you never used while being an untargetable, unkillable, invisible swarm of bats that could kill raid groups solo) it's still very powerful, just not overpowered in a ridiculous way.

The Vampire skill line before was one of the greatest imbalances in recent MMO memory. It needed to be nerfed fast and hard, people were literally leaving the game en masse because of it, and reviews were blasting it.

    P.S get fire resist glyphs.

You do realize that the cost reduction is only for vampire skills right? And that all this skills and passives you listed are broken and not working, right?

Sinyeah, we have no benefits and the debuffs are working just fin. Yes we can spec for fire resist and health regen, but it gimos us because we could use those slots for other things.

I don't mind playing the price for vampirism, but they should have fixed skills at same time they needed it.

I think its fair to at last reset the vamp skills for now, its the least they could do.

no way. Its not fair to offer the Vamps a reset unless they offered the NB and the WW the same. Those are broke and have been.
I say it again, at the risk of still upsetting the Vamps.
Never heard any complaints about the broken passives from them before the nerf.
Now suddenly 'oh we are so broken'?
Most, not all of you only wanted to be Uber so you took the FOTM, they are trying to fix it, and you had your fun in the sun.
Welcome to broken life with the rest of us.

Much needed change. +10, as I had no desire to play World of Wampires when I bought this game.

This is the end of the world...

    ...of Wampires!

Its so funny how those special RPGer turn away from the vampire spots now :D
I read one of them yesterday "I dont like in which direction this game goes." What? he is not op anymore? Wait, it is a DK :-)

Vampires should be given a free skill reset.

Everyone should be given a free skill reset. One now and one more after Craglorn goes live.

I know this thread is about vampire QQ. But It should be skill/morphs reset QQ.

Every time they "balance" and hotfix, thousands of people have to pray at the shrine for 10-30k gold. Now it's the vamp, next week it's possibly shield users.

Some morphs are almost required for soloing efficiently (as in not dying in vet5+ zones). While the other version of the morph is a lot better for grouping. This means even more skill resetting, when you're done leveling.

They have to sort this out badly.

The gods are unjust in this world and demand your contribution. It burns a lot of their cycles resetting your points. They have other godlike endeavors to attend to.

On a side note, I wouldn't mind a bit of mercy from the gods, maybe an event, to get a reset.

Skyshards107, Levels 58, AVA Ranks 49, Zone Quest lines 48, Group Dungeon Quests 16, Public Dungeon 16, Main Story Quests 10

This makes a total of around 304 Skillpoints and you need a reset?

You should easily be able to max out 3 weapons, 2 armor lines, complete fighters guild line, most of crafting and what not else. If someone wants to go super FOTM perfect character he should pay a decent price for it period.

ESO should be giving resets for every skill change they make. I don't see why it matters if the skill was OP and made bad or if it was bad and made OP. You picked the skill the way it was not to what they changed it to.

In my opinion, they should be given the option, temporarily (maybe like a week) to get the skill points invested into the skill line back. One time choice. I'm certain some people will stick with it, because they do not care of the min max, and wish to play their character how they wish to play their character.

The Devs will likely get around to fixing the rest of vampires eventually. I'm sure it's on their long list of things to do. Maybe they should give Nightblades a free respec and compensation too, right? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Around 2months nb and vamps will get fixed. Thats how long they will take.

Incorrect. Check the patch notes for 1.1 or check out what people are saying about Nightblades with the 1.1 update on PTS.

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

hmm.. maybe you shouldn't have chosen vampire over werewolf then when deciding which to chose. Ya get the good with the bad in whatever class you play. Don't think short term.. think long. My opinion on the matter is that all pc vampire toons should be changed to look like little carebear toons with fuzzy white fur and hearts on their chests, but I don't think that the developers would go for that unfortunately.

For the most part, I like Vampirism the way it is. The only thing I would want changed, because it would make more sense for me is: When we feed on an enemy, their health points should be reduced by the same amount as our drain ability does.
I don't know any thing that would be able to hit like a mac truck after taking a huge loss of blood. even with the 3sec stun, which doesn't always work.

    Edit:
I have to edit this after playing Vet9 tonight. My character is being hit with more fire damage than I should be taking. Firebreath is doing near 2000 damage on me. It is taking down from full health to only quarter health, if that and I am at Stage 1. I am also noticing that cold damage is doing the same. It double sucks too since I have to deal with two firebreathers at the same time in most cases in the alik'r desert quest I am doing.

50% fire damage is too much for level 1-2 vamp.. it should be 25%, then 50% for levels 3-4.

Far too many characters to list any more.
