Does Anyone Know the IP or URL of the Patching Site?

I need to perform a trace route between my machine and the patching site to determine why my update download speed is almost unthinkably slow, but do not know where to trace to. If anyone knows where the patches are downloaded from, please provide me with that information so that I can complete this successfully. Thanks so much in advance.

EDIT: I can complete a trace route to plenty of other sites inlcluding forums.elderscrollsonline.com. I cannot however complete a trace route to elderscrollsonline.com. Can anyone confirm that this is the patch download location as well? I assumed it would be separate from the actual site itself.

It's patcher.elderscrollsonline.com, I think. Different IP address from elderscrollsonline.com. Might also want to check launcher.bethesda.net?

Thanks very much for that. I'll test this right now.

The download server ip depends on where you live. Run "perfmon /res" as administrator and look for the patcher ip address to run pathping and tracerute.

Update to this: I've opened the ports the launcher uses, as well as performed the perfmon /res command as wrlifeboil recommended and successfully traced to both the remote locations it said it was using under Network Activity in the performance monitor. Perhaps that wasn't where I was supposed to trace to?

Looking through the various log files, I find patcher.elderscrollsonline.com as Chatoyancy mentioned.

There are some other addresses in there as well, but I'd definitely try that one.

The log files are in the launcher folder, with names starting with host.developer, if you're interested in digging through them further.

The patch is downloaded through the launcher so that would be Bethesda.net_Launcher.exe on the resource monitor Network/Network Activity screen.

For me, even though the game server is >thousand miles away, the patch server is a cdn around 7 miles away.

I successfully traced to patcher.elderscrollsonline.com. I'm not sure what else to try at this point. I've ruled out firewall and antivirus issues blocking my patches by booting in safe mode with networking and running the launcher there. No matter what I do I am seeing extremely slow download speeds for the patches. Multiple speed tests confirm I'm fine as far as general download speed goes, but something is obviously falling out somewhere along the line. Once the game finally patches I can play no problem. Waiting hours on a patch that should take less than a minute is just extremely frustrating.

Yep that is what I checked. I used the remote location to trace to under Network for that process. Is that what I was supposed to try and do? Thanks for taking the time to help a guy out. I appreciate it.

it looks like you are doing it correctly. As a test, you can run a traceroute from another server in your part of the country. Go to http://traceroute.org and find a company or an organization close to you and run the traceroute from their server to the patch server.

For me, since the cdn is on the same trunk as my isp, the download maxes out my bandwidth and I got the entire patch in a few minutes. It probably took longer to install the patch than to download the patch.
