@Kronosphere tbh I didn't even read your OP, if you were talking about not having enough VR10s then I apologize. Its just that there is actually quite a few "qq ppl r higher level than me" threads floating around here so its really not unusual.

all good man sorry i tend to get a bit aggressive in my posts lol. LoL changed me man.. changed me =(

I find that quite hilarious.. I don't recall any mmo with PVP Back in 96.. Except for the First mmo "Ultima online", If i do recall, mmo's with pvp in them came in early 2000.....

UO was still in beta in 1996. It didnt launch retail until 1997.

Now before i say anything. im gonna say in this im not gonna state my oppinions on nerf this or nerf that, im just gonna point out what i have seen.

Hopefire. My campaign of choice. i feel like has been a really balanced server. AD were ahead by alot then EP made a huge comeback, and we kept catching up etc etc. it was really fun! but lately there have been a decent group of vr10 (alot of them vampires) going around and decimating, i mean decimating the entire map single handed. Now it IS very possible i just happen to log in at bad times but now the entire map is perma owned by them, and most of the population seem to have given up. the server on my alliance seems extremely empty and devoid of our forces. we sometimes get a group of 30 people together capture a keep or 2 then the vr10 group comes (5-10 of them usually) and destroy us. everyone gets demoralized and stops entering the campaign. its still fun creeping about enemy held territory (more fun than friendly actually) but when u wanna do large pvp. it seems futile. anyone else notice anything like this?

I'm really curious as to when you actually started playing on Hopesfire because you don't exactly have your fact straight. For starters, AD was never ahead by a lot intill very recently, EP was the dominate force for basically the first 2 weeks of the game or so, Well most of us members from Alacrity were leveling to VR10, EP dominated the server hard, when our first 2 members started pvping on Hopesfire AD had about 3k Campaign points well EP was well over 100k already, as more of our members hit Vr10 we started to push red back, with only a handful of us 4-8 or so that first week, with none of us vampires. Even now only in the last week and a bit we did we add someone to the roster that was a vamp, so no not a lot of us are vamps, we are just a competent group of players that knows how to play well.

You should also know that there is a EP guild on the server that hold events weekly getting up to 250 players sometimes and we are left facing the massive red zerg with only a handful of players.

Its been a long fight for us to dominate the campaign, and yes we do now, and we will keep trying to do so, nothing is stopping players from leveling and trying to put up a fight, these days we spend most of our time guesting.

Anyways i just wanted to fix a few of the facts for you.

Ps. If you do change servers, let me know we can come visit *wink*

yeah u guys are really doing well to get back. i think a part of it may be my AU timezone. i walked around the server yesterday for 4-5 hours and saw literally no one lol. did a lap around the map. just earlier i made my guest to auriels bow and it was a hell of a lot of fun being able to fight so easily (still getting *** by AD. but the sizes were better and it was fun) the ap gain was sooooo much better lol

Well yeah being Australian makes a big difference, because majority of the action in pvp happens, my self being Aussi as well i find my self getting up 4-5am in the morning sometimes to play, but yeah basically you need to go to w/e has the highest pop to play during oceanic night time if you want a fight.

OMG Hex! Off with your head! My imperial majesty has been in the guild longer than a "week and a bit". Lol but yeah i'm the vampire that EP and DC tell their kids about "if you don't eat your vegetables Night Mistress will come and 100 stack batswarm you to death because nerfs don't apply to her!" And I just cry in the corner all by my lonesome "Nobody loves me! And I dont spam batswarm! *sniff... sniff... sob*"
I have to give a credit to AD pack of Vampires with VR10 Night Mistress leading them (seriously VR10 10 days after the official release?).

Second campaign is what matters? We have to wait 3 months to do anything that matters?

Yeah pretty much. You're talking about end-game content within the first month of launch, obviously the population will drastically change. The very fact that it's even possible to complain about one side having too many VR10s means that most people are not VR10 yet, meaning the game is still young. If you rushed to end-game yourself and now find that you're all by yourself, then you maybe did it wrong? Anyway, relax. Things will change.

(And yes I know that we get boosted in PvP if we enter at a low level, but that doesn't not mean that Cyrodiil is built for all levels. Imagine 6 months from now when the norm is that almost everyone in Cyrodiil is VR12: low level players will be getting boosted purely so they can check it out beforehand and participate in at least some fashion, that's all.)

Hopsfire is anything but dead, just to clear that up.

First off I would not say that last night your guild only had a handful of players. That was a pretty big pack you all fielded. The battle at South Morrow Gate ebbing and flowing. Ah the carnage.

Hi Hex, enjoyed killing you every time we saw you last night.

Night Mistress...I don't even know what to say other than good job leading your team. Hopefully we can get more high level Vets to balance out your *** aoe spam. Either that or we just need more silver bolt spam. All in all love fighting against you. Your guild has made Hopesfire fun.

It would be great if developers actually commented on these boards other than to tell people not to flame each other. Literal zero communication from head of pvp to the community.

    Wna know what to do?
Here's a few Iron rules to PvP in MMO's
    1#Gear & Levels > Skill.
    2#Join a *** guild. It's basic.
    3#Use TS3...
4#Get your guild organized and up and running on TS3.
5# Level & Gear with ur guild. Just level to V10.
6# Go back to PvP and test out different builds depending on circumstances.
7#Don't be a ***. A Vampire killed u? Where was ur Backlash, Vampires bane, and 2-5 Silverbolts? That 1 shots any Vampire.
8# Keep recruiting members Gear & level them. Keep experiancing different things. And learn from them. Don't waste time on crying on forums. Spend time thinking of new builds that overcome your enemies.

Sidenote. You thought Vampires were bad? Mwhaha just wait til we expose our new tactics ;) So far they prove to be 10x more effective. Since Vampires only worked on zergs. but against Guilds we lost. With this tactic not even stronger guilds can survive ;P 10 of us can wipe a organized 100 man guild :)

Maybe you don't know much about strategy against larger groups with higher levels? Must be nice riding on your zerg's coattails so you can come do some forum PvP.

To the OP: Chicken Little much? Organization is key, especially against the formidable foe. Take some initiative and communicate with some of the larger guilds you see out there so we know you are there to work with us.

Ok first off, DC owned the server first and ran their mouths which ended up attracting our attention. We made Hopesfire our home campaign and pretty much walked over them and shut their mouths. We then stopped pvping on Hopesfire because there was no point when the rest of the faction wouldn't even let DC or AD have a keep or two. Then the VR 10's started showing up and PVPed 24/7 (figure of speech) and took every thing and EP has struggled since.

The problem with that group you are talking about is 2 major things, 1 they are organized, same guild, all in voice. And 2 they are VR 10's. Once more people become VR 10's they won't have that advantage. They will still be organized so you're not going to be able to Hur dur you way into them and wipe them. You have a brain, use it.

Also to the AD people bragging about wiping the larger guild doing the events every week. They never had 250 people, 150 is about the most that one guild has put on the field at one time and that hasn't been that high since the first couple weeks. They are only fronting maybe 75-100 now. Yes large numbers vs 10. But here is the trick to that..... VR 10's vs mostly 30's. Pretty hard to counter organization with levels when all you have is numbers. Not impossible, just hard.

And Niwi, we don't just take resources. It's called tactics. There is actually a reason we are doing it. Stupidity is to sit there and beat on one fort all night long with you guys hold up in there with a clear advantage through a choke point. We are not there to get let you guys farm AP of us, we there to have fun.

Veteran Ranks just should be released slowly after each patch, and not just 10 all at once since the launch! If it was intentioned to increase the grinding time, why not to have the level cap to 60 instead?

I agree, I don't like farming guards either, but when you have a handful of V1-5 out of a 75-100 man group it's pretty hard to get any where. It makes you guys seem even more powerful, especially since last time I checked most of you are/where Emps/former Emps. We still enjoy the fights so don't go easy on us.

@Kronosphere a lot of us guested off of hopesfire because us EPs greatly outnumbered DC and AD was non existent. DC put up the best fight they could give and since EP mostly didn't want a face roll by majority they guested off temporarily. Some of them have stepped out for a bit of leveling. You should start to see some V10 EP players fairly soon, maybe a week or two, though Craglorn might slow that down some.

So this thread has escalated pretty quickly. Lets keep the mentality less than insulting and alot more civil.

I personally dislike the resource capping cat and mouse game. I prefer large scale seige whether its offense or defense. There is a good reason when thinking on a strategic scale versus tactical scale for that resource capping to occur though.

They need to have dedicated Campaign forums for this. This is a normal ebb and flow of an RvR game. One side dominates, other side levels/recruits fights back, dominates etc.

Big problem is transfers and guesting. people are running like rats from a sinking ship.

Its funny I made my new AD DK and homed Hopesfire like 2-3 weeks ago. Because I thought EP was dominating. But now its all AD lol. This will all pass.

Clearly ZOS is too busy with other things to setup a forum based campaign sub forum so perhaps the community should do it. The big question is whether the community as a whole would be into it.
