skill line resets NEED to happen

  • SeventhSeal
It is a new game with 2 more skills lines being added down the road. Something tells me down the line the 350 skill points will not even cover half the skills/passives. The re-spec cost is only there for 1 reason to start with they do not want people to have to re-spec just to fill a roll in a group or raid. Raid guilds do this all the time in other games invite you in to the guild then tell you that you can't raid in that spec.If it gets easy it will be more likely to happen in this game. Part of the issue you are having is morph skills not working like they should. So why make re-spec cheep and targeted when they would just lose a good gold sink. Fix skills and tool tips seems like the best thing they could do.

Then they can just repick the same things and not affected. They can even pick things known to not work if they were satisfied with unworking skills

Then you missed my point. If free resets happen, then I wont care what I pick when I level because chances are I get a few free respecs before it really matters anyway. I want to care what I pick, and free respecs will ruin that for me.

If something does not work as described on tool tips, then it just need to be fixed.

i read like a sentence or two.. it was just too long and i'm not bothered at the moment.
but i'd fully support anything that would bring into place a system where you can respec 1 point for a set price, a lot of the time ill respec, make an alright build, go test it out only to realize if i had put that extra point or two into something else instead of that.. i'd get that little bit more out of my class.

Personally I like the idea of skill line resets. Would happily pay twice as much per point as the current system. It makes the whole thing much easier and less hassle, and if there is one thing a game system shouldn't be it's hassle.

Am not bothered about the crafting side. Hell, if I were designing a MMO (as opposed to a single player game) I wouldn't have crafting and combat skills come out of the same points pool, as one is designed to improve everyone's combat ability, and the other only the player's combat ability.

And if if changes to something you wouldn't have wanted, like they are with Power Bash, then it needs to be refunded.

Face it, many of you have already said that some morphs are bad choices. Why are they bad choices? because the other morph option was either OBVIOUSLY stronger or did not work as intended. There are multiple cases of "why would I chose this when I could have this OP morph?!" out there.

They are going to balance these things in 1.1 as they said with their vague "combat skill balance and tweaks" line, and then they should hopefully give some respecs out because when its all said and done, skills chosen will end up not the skills wanted. Preferably just the entire combat line. As uncomplicated as can be.

I'll just bring it up, but WoW resets everyones spec's every major skill adjustment. Not just one or 2 skills, all of them. They you have to log on and pick everything all over again. Haven't played the game for like 5 years, but im pretty sure it still happens, as its what needs to be done when you change everyones skills like that. I believe the over all skill effects changes or rewording warrants a free respec for everyone.

Along with that, being able to respec just the skill line and not every skill you've chosen is a plus.
