So I keep hearing about crafters versus raiders. I was under the assumption that pretty much everyone crafted something, so maybe I'm wrong. I've posted this same poll in the Dungeon section as well. How many professions do you craft?

Alchemy, clothing, amd woodworking. It's nice make my own gear and especially pots with magicka and health regen. Finding decent gear outside of dungeons can be tiresome and they dont always have the benefits I prefer.

I pretty much make a new bow every 2 levels and a completely new set of armor spread over each 4 levels.. sorta... (currently lagging behind because I sold my fell hides by mistake)

    6 crafts by 6 characters.
6 is the number used so that I can spread out my Skill Points. Hopefully to the best affect in both class abilities and crafting abilities.

I have leveled all crafting skills, but only put skill points into Alchemy & Provisioning and into research and extraction only in the others.

Leveled them from breaking down items only and selling the parts. (Easy money)

Since I can upgrade a V7 drop to 'yellow' and yet I can not even make a L15 armor, I don't see the point in putting any more points in those lines. The best 'sets' appear to be item drops, so yes I will use all crafting lines to upgrade items, but never make an item. (Except food and potions)

I only craft 2 lines. I just don't have the bag/bank space to do more and its far too confusing. For example, I was under the impression that if I researched a trait, then I knew it. WRONG I had to research that same trait across 14 items (clothing) you must be blasted kidding!
I can just see a tradesperson learning (for instance) how to paint a wall, then being told he needed further training to learn how to paint a door, and a ceiling and window frames, and......................................
    You must be kidding?

    6 crafts on 4 characters.
I'm leveling the three crafts that use motifs on the same character so I don't have to get more than one of each motif.
I will probably level Spellcraft on my Enchanter when it comes out.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

well to save on bank space I've been vendoring my thick leather seeing how selling em on guildstores won't work.. So I'm sorta guessing here that I thought they were a stack of thick leather :'(

By the time I noticed they weren'tin my inventory / bank anymore they also were no longer available from the buyback function.

Not very clearly set vote. Not sure should one answer how many crafts on account or per char.

I have 2 crafts per char. First one having Clothing and Blacksmithing, 2nd Woodworking and Enchanting. Though doing some Provisioning on the side too on all but not really specializing to it just to make some basic foods to boost magica, health or stamina.

    One alt for blacksmithing/clothing.
    One alt for enchanting/woodworking.
The main has every craft (keeps dismantling the items made by the other two).

I do blacksmithing and alchemy. I haven't set up any alts yet.
When the game started I tried to do every craft, but my bank and inventory were always completely full. So first I stopped woodworking, because I dual wield, so i didn't provide a direct use to me. Then I stopped clothing, as I decided I was going to stick with heavy armor. Then I stopped enchanting because the runes took up half of my inventory space sometimes, and I quit provisioning for mostly the same reason.
I might pick some crafts back up eventually, Once i upgrade my bank/backpack/horse some more.

I aim to train all crafting skills, however at the moment only a few have skill points in a few of the lines. I re-specialised some needed points out of Provisioning on one of my two main characters as I rarely use food (I am aware I am missing out on some very, very useful buffs). Nonetheless, I aim to max my "Chef" character's Provisioning using items sourced from my main characters' adventures so that I can eventually utilise this very useful skill.

In order to cover every base, I've decided to have a maximum of two professions on my mains and one on my alts. So far only one of my alts has begun their profession training, that being Alchemy. It's been a tonne of fun using one ability alongside heavy weapon attacks to level, Sorcerers are more fun than I first imagined. Anyway, next up will likely be my Provisioner, then maybe my Enchanter. I'd going to have to start hoarding Glyphs as well as Runes I think. Blacksmithing and Woodworking are being covered by one of my mains, while Clothing is being covered by the other (I did this as the first uses both heavy armour and shields while the other uses medium armour and daggers... basically a convenience thing).

Overall I want to be as self sufficient as I can. Not only that but exploring, harvesting and crafting is something I find very enjoyable. I like that I can craft armour that has stats that are useful and that I can craft special item sets with enough traits researched. I've never been the type to go on raids as I've always felt sorta useless at working in group, so being able to craft decent gear without running through dungeons and frustrating the ABC's out of myself is something that I like a lot about ESO.

I have one alt I use for crafting. Skyshards go to crafting, level-ups to combat, and quest rewards as I see fit. I went into Cyrodiil with a friend and collected a ton of shards there, so that was a nice boost.
