Is anything being done about the Bots running macros?

I'm seeing the same bots running their programmed path 24/7. Everyone I know has reported them, yet they are still there, strip mining the low level zones. At least with the teleporting bots there were only a few per instance. Now there's just a swarm.

I've personally reported a bot in Bleakrock at least 8 times in the past week and a half. But he's still there running in a circle.

Ever considered that they may be legit, I run a long stretch in a lower level area from time to time so as to grab enough stuff to break down for decent crafting mats, it is sort of dull but necessary. If you really think they are a bot... See if they vary the path each repeat, see if they actually stop at each node even if empty or show human intelligence and bypass non- spawned ones, see if they stop to pick locks on any random chests and do on.

In short, don't be in a rush to judge someone who is probably just doing the things they need to do.

id edit out their name or they'll delete your posting.

Oh and wait til you see the groups of 10 bots leveling up. doing small circles in zones.. over and over.. comes in handy if you wanna mooch xp off them.. (tag mobs) lol.

I agree Op, I've reported all sorts of non vowel names harvesting an instant re-spawning jute node, that's all they do. They are most obviously Bots, would it be too easy to just have a someone check out the /bug Exploit reports that we provide. The area I'm talking about had 10 different bots attacking 5 different "insta re-spawning" jute nodes, it was like a plague and dead set obvious. The other weird thing was these bots were sometimes invisible, if you hovered the cursor in the right area you could see a name but not the bot.

Currently, Bleakrock Isle and Bal Foyen seem to be full of suspicious characters having in common that they all have names that seem to be random combinations of letters in lower case, running around and gathering stuff...

Basically nothing at all, of course. But still I suspect that these strange random-lower-case-letters types aren't real players...

That in itself isn't a problem.

What is, is that these people you can clearly see are bots. Because their paths are NEVER wrong. They beeline to every iron and jute node without missing a beat. They bypass everything around them, and go for just those two things.

Now a human might pause and look around, and do other human things. But doing this strange path non stop? And the angles are so perfect. Point A, small angle straight to Point B, small angle to Point C etc.

    It's too perfect.

Exactly. Now, I have a favored route that I run to collect runes for enchanting. I feel dirty somewhat by doing that but it is necessary because Enchanting levels so slowly.

I will run that for an hr or so and while it's the same basic path and between some runes it's the exact same path. But I'm having to fight the occasional enemy from time to time.

Still, I bypass everything else like chests and other nodes and even run by players engaged in combat but my characters all have lore friendly names and not "alskshdj". The name is the first sign of fraud. Then a monitored action.
Words contained in posts, at which point I stop reading and will not respond...

Pets (when referring to summoned Daedra) / Any verbiage to express slang (ie, ending in uz,az,..) / Soul Stone
    ... to be continued.

    Now, get off my lawn.

We all have favourite loot/node paths to gather stuff, but even though it's a path we are rarely dead accurate hoping from one node spawn to the next, like was stated above. I spend 2hrs of game time a day feeding my crafting appetite, but I tend to get distracted and focus on gathering and questing at the same time, if that makes sense, I go to the next quest area, loot it, resource hunt a couple or few times then finish quest and so on. I'm human and erratic in my behaviour, not calculated, cold and extremely precise. The real concern I have is many legitimate players are getting banned because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, whilst these flamen bots are getting away with it. I'm paranoid now that if I go into a dungeon I may get banned for killing the boss or hit it while bots are hitting it and get tarred with the same brush, fair dinkum I watch my chat log like a hawk these days to make sure I don't miss a GM message while I'm in a dungeon. The farming bots and node bots really make it rough for players. I was on a new toon in Davon's Watch and went outside the gate to the ghost but there were farming bots making it impossible to do even do the quest. I know when I first started and even back to beta it was easy to get to level 4 just stepping out and ding that quest, now it's not.

I agree these bots are a big nuisance and really peeving me off. One way to spot the pathing ones is they turn instantly, not gradually as a player would. I know this could be lag but its pretty obvious.

I've seen bots talking to each other, in Chinese, in case there was any doubt where they're from....

There's a group of bots out by Deleyn's Mills who're just standing at the imp spawn points. They insta-kill it when it spawns, loot, then wait for the respawn.
No movement at all, they just stand there and spam and attack over and over and over.

Of course, there's about 10 more bots in that same area, also farming imps.
    Imp = rawhide

I suppose the next 'fix' will be to make crafting materials have a 0 gold vendor value, as I assume that's what they're doing - gathering the raw materials and vendoring them for gold.
