Since the Dark Brotherhood is coming, apparently , there's one feature I'd really like to see implement on contracts, the ability to have a contract on a player, but not an actual player, an already convicted BOT.

Instead of banning them, flag them as open target to any Dark Brotherhood members, without telling the bots of course. Then after 5 hours of complete and utter mass slaughter, ban the bot's account. Kudos if we get an unlimited kill counter of bots, with achievements for milestones.

So, the listener would simply tell us something along the lines of "We've received many request to have sdddssfddfsdfgghhhsdfdfsdfsdfsdfdfs killed, and the contract has been accepted... go in the Name of Sithis..." and so on.

Npc's could give use clues, "I saw it (neither he or she after all, 'tis but a bot), heading north of X landmark ". Or we could pay a very small fee (like 50G), to have a very precise location of said bot, which we can do as long as we have gold, in case the bot changes map.

I don't really care if there's any reward at all, but if the gold we loot from the dead bots comes out straight out of his bank account, even better :)

By the way, I call the storyline of DB as follow, we'll be the ones building the first DB, it's conversion from the 2nd era assassin's type of guild going on in there to the actual Darkbrotherhood :D. If not, it'll better be AWESOME as a questline! :)

"In 2014, a possible bot was sent to coldharbour by a military GM for a crime she didn't commit. This argonian promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Ebonheart underground. Today, still wanted by the developers she survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a bot problem, if no one else can bite you, and if you can find her....maybe you can hire The SQUISHY."

I like the idea... thought, with anything that comes from player's votes, there's always going to be griefing. I would love to take down some bot farmers. I could do it all afternoon just for fun, But this could also be turned around to attack innocent players.

Hence why a npc gives a quest from an already known bot.

The quest target would be taken straight from accounts to be banned from boting, if I am making any sense... out of redbull at work, hard to type or concentrate *twitch*

Thing is while those bots and their accounts are still active (inbetween being flagged and getting killed) they can still be botting and making money out of trashing this game. If you do this they would first need to be transported to a totally lootless instanced area and then players could opt to travel to that area if they felt the need for a bot killing spree. Sounds like a lot of effort though - I'd just ban them. No need for them to become part of the fabric of the game.

Thing is, while they're disrupted, they no long "bot", and when dead, their macro eventually pushes E, which resurrect them, and consumes all their shards... a bit like adding insult to injury.

I just thought it'd be nice to be able to physically kill them, without having to train mobs behind them, while remaining sort of immersive. :)

Actually making them hitable with a price on the heads
I think they wouldn't get any rest - LOL

everyone in the dark brotherhood will keep getting the re-occuring quest
so he'll have every assassin out after him killing him constantly and taking all his loot and his clothes/armor and weapons

that will leave him scurrying to town with no clothes or any defenses with assassin out after him

then you arrest him and put him in jail (criminal - and bounty) - cost to get out 3x times what he has in bank - or 30 days in jail (cant play for 30 days)

and you enable it across all the players in that accounts - even if he/she makes a new char - and is instantly arrested after it leaves cold harbor

Im sure they will get into a hissy fit seeing the account cleaned out and being beat up constantly

I've always thought a nice solution for the discovered bots isn't to ban them. Rather, make use of that vast amount of empty space we sometimes fall into crossing a bridge or going through a doorway. There's a lot of space down there...

Create a sizeable land mass with absolutely nothing on it. And leave them there via teleport. They won't know the difference. Instead of banning the account, which allows them to make another one, just lock the characters on the proven guilty accounts. Not by autoscript, but by review and communication from a human investigator.

At least it'd provide some amusement when you find you've fallen into the core of Tamriel.
