seriously all these people whining about no auction house, well if you don't like it then you don't have to use it.
not everyone have as much time to play as you do, and I would rather be adventuring rather then standing in a city shouting in trade chat for a single item.

I really don't want to hear all the whining if and when they do add one and someone like yourself goes looking to buy rare mat x only to find out joe rich bot just abought up all of them and is the only seller and is selling at a ridiculous price.

Same could be said on your choosing to NOT join trade guild and learn how to interact with other players.

I personally hope ZOS never caves on this and instead, finds way to enhance the current system. There is no problem finding what I want, and it makes pricing competitive along with self regulated, as good trade guilds can quickly remove "bad apples".
We don't have to worry about price fixing and gouging like you see in other games that have a universal AH system. The current trading system works just fine, and the 1000's of active traders across the 4 trade guilds I belong to must mean it's working pretty well, because there is a lot of good selling / buying happening without the use of some global AH.
"But I don't have time!" <whine> - sure you do, if you have time to jump into these forums and make all sorts of posts about it, you could have utilized that time in reviewing the goods available on several trade guilds.

I have never seen a rare mat for sale in game. So, if I could buy them at all I would be happy.

This is one of the most ignorant statements I have yet to read. It isn't as simple as "don't use it". Adding an AH to the game significantly changes the game for everybody, whether you choose to use it or not. I'm not going to rehash all of the reasons why in yet another thread. The bottom line is this game doesn't have one, doesn't need one, and won't have one in the future...it was never advertised or marketed as a feature, which was reiterated in beta and reinforced again during the AmA a couple weeks before launch. Lack of an AH was not a mere oversight as some of you would believe. It was a critical design decision and one that I emphatically agree with.

I think a lot of these guys just want it to be another solo player Elder scrolls game. The thought of an Auction house will somehow ruin their immersion. I'm thinking at this point it's like arguing politics and religion... all the facts in the world, and they will stick to their NO, it'll ruin things.

I'm going to have to challenge you on this.
If there were enough players who were averse to using an auction house they could avoid using it.
Now its true an auction house would create an efficient and stable market that would far out-perform trade spam and Guild Stores (which is why we want one). But if there were enough players willing to stand on their principles and avoid using it - they could still trade with one another through the current means. So the OP - though a tad harsh in its language - is correct. I don't think it's an ignorant statement at all ^^

Well, I'll challenge you back, I guess. I decided to play this game because it didn't have an AH. Now I realize that doesn't make much sense to the spoonfed MMO gamer that WoW has created along with the Singleplayer nature of the modern MMO, so I'll explain. The lack of an AH increases socialization...I believe firmly that an MMO should be a social game, and am in favor of any features that move them toward that end & away from the Singleplayer MMO that the genre has become in this generation.
My Friends list grows daily, either from people that I make custom set armor for, or cook food for, or fellow crafters that I bounce ideas off of & trade deconstruction items with. With an AH, I would have never crossed paths with these people. Blacksmiths would grind daggers and load them on the AH & buy more from other people to deconstruct. They would never know each other or talk to each other. Is this really what you guys see as the vision for MMO gaming?
Another thing you're seeing in-game right now is that the crafters who dedicate the most time to selling their wares are the most successful. I am not one of those guys, but I think it's great to see. When you put in an AH, this also goes away. I don't like a system where the lone crafter who sits in a corner can grind out items, put them on the AH, then come back 4 days later with gold waiting. In ESO, this isn't possible.
If you put in an AH, this social interaction becomes a thing of the past...again. I won't come here to complain about it as there is competition on the horizon that will stay true to that vision if ESO does not. If I wanted to play a Singleplayer Elder Scrolls game, I'd play Skyrim.
So, your turn. Tell me what compelling reason you have for "needing" your AH. Is it so you have instant gratification? No work needed to buy or sell? Do you think that your items that won't sell in 15 minutes of Zone chat will suddenly sell sitting next to 10k identical items in an AH? No knowledge or thought required to know the value of your wares? You want to make as much money as the guy that dedicates time & effort to it...without the time & effort?
But back to what I was saying, my point was even if an auction house was implemented - people who don't want to use it and prefer to spam advertisements on chat to enjoy this kind of social interaction may still do so. That was what the OP was saying - and he is correct.
If you hate auction houses so much, simply don't use it. If trade spam is truly so enjoyable for so many people - then people should willingly continue to do it.

I can't help but wonder how much money they spent on gold from gold sellers and want an AH because they've realized this game doesn't have much use for currency outside of repairs and backpack upgrades.

COD's are flaky at best. Fee's are too high, and people can let it sit in their mail for weeks if they choose. I tell people to travel to me, and they don't want to come. That eats up my time finding buyers. I put out a /zone shout that I'm selling something, and it could take 5-15 minutes to actually settle on a price. Buyer flakes out, leaves. I miss another due to floating text. I do have a dedicated whisper panel. Now I get nothing, and I can keep spamming or go to another zone or cluster. I will not discuss guild stores as they are a joke, and will only get worse.
Or, I could have just posted, walked away and got some exp, more loot and got some gold out of it. I'm all for being social, but this is 2014 and they have the technology. I have no desire to play Mr. haggler for hours on end for something that should just sell.
I'm not lazy I just value my time. This isn't a facebook social game.

Not this again.
Think about someone other than yourself. In my humble opinion, an AH will destroy the economy and tip the scales in favor of those who DO have an infinite amount of time to play. (I am NOT one of those.)
If you care about keeping trade fair, you wouldn't want an AH in the game.
Also, you can use the chat settings to remove zone chat and not see the WTS spam! DC the stuff you get or use guild chat to sell motifs, etc. Also, find good trade guilds. I just don't have the same problems the majority seems to have. 2 trading guilds have provided everything I have needed either through the store or through /g.
