Post patch - server side lag

I usually fear the lag because I end up dead but since this morning's patch the lag has been really bad and obviously server side. I say this because when I lag now, sometimes for 10-15 seconds the monsters are affected by it too and when the lag abates I am alive and the monsters haven't been able to act either.

My two monster I was fighting, got bored with me lagging and ate each other, while I was 10-15 seconds behind.

I am getting the same results. I am casting spells that take 20 seconds to go off, and when they do the mobs are all moved way behind you and you are dead.

It only seems to happen during combat.

Nope it happens in chat, quest selection (no voice just a long pause between options) and combat.

@ZOS_GinaBruno‌ this happened right before the downtime as well by about 45 minutes, resulting in the same huge lagspikes/timeouts.

Just logged in for the first time since patch. Was on roughly 8 minutes, started getting the same kind of spikes people are describing, then dropped with error 318 for excessive messaging.

I'm a huge supporter of the game. But this amazes me that at almost the end of the month you have not figured out how to deploy a patch correctly. Or if it's something else causing it, even worse. Doesn't look good for people re-subbing. This is the first negative post i've made about the game on Reddit or here. Not good.

30 days doesn't end until the 6th... Drama much. The lag is bad, sure, but since when does any MMO company release a patch without messing with something.

I hate how people are getting so pissed off about this...
i get it, it's annoying, we pay for it, and it's getting worse...
we all clearly wan't to see this game prosper but getting angry at ZOS isn't helping anything.

Look, it's a MEGASERVER have you ever seen this used in a game before? i sure haven't... what does that mean? it means it's new.. and shiny.. and full of bugs because it hasn't been perfected yet...

look just relax, it's been a month since release, and ZOS has been pretty on the ball with fixing things.. i mean yeah they break a lot of things in the process.. but ultimately i think it's all just progress to a bigger better game...

i'm pretty happy with it at the moment.. lets look at the pro's
1) it's dark, it's gritty, it's not pg13... it's a realistic fantasy world, iv'e played WoW GW2 and Rift and honestly this is my favorite.
2) it's set in the elder scrolls universe, come on, i know at some point you all dreamed of a TES game with friends, i know i did...
3) The devs are active... thats more than i can say for some other games iv'e played...
4) as far as a game with belthesdas name on it goes, this is relatively bug free haha...

just ride it out and have fun where you can, and eventually you will be able to say "I remember Vanilla ESO.." and you can sound better than new plays and all that stuff...

The Rift. Also can't use some of my abilities too.

I was in the Rift zone, basically unplayable. Ultimate was also not charging at all.

The LAG is everywhere. I was doing the Main Quest (Castle of the Worm) and it was in the Mages Guild quest (carnival of slaughter). Does not matter what character or area I play.

INSANE lag in Eastmarch as well as Rift. Literally a 10 second delay with occasional "speed ups" that have the previous 10 seconds of actions all catch up in 0.5 seconds or so.

Stormhaven was pretty bad for me. It was a minor annoyance at first, but then gradually became worse, to the point that it wasn't playable.

God I hate fanboys. And for point number 2 buddy can I just point out that Skyrim modders managed to create a working MMO with 0 support? That system runs better than TESO so far.

reapers March, the lag also prevented longclaw in selenes web from functioning properly. he just stood up on his platrorm and kept resetting

I'm pretty sure this started last night. I logged in around 1am US Eastern time and logged off after 10-15 minutes because it was unplayable. Talking to some other people in AB they also noticed it last night.
